SanDisk 32GB Mobile Ultra MicroSDHC Class 10 or Samsung Micro SDHC Pro (Class 10) 32GB.

Dont mind me asking, which one is better for S4? I cant find the best answer here.. some say sandisk and some samsung..

Both are good, although SanDisk is more known for manufacturing storage media.

There would be minimal difference in terms of write and read speed.

QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Jul 18 2013, 11:49 PM)
both are good enough
but Samsung microsd is much more expensive than sandisk
yet sandisk is more popular on making storage media (flash drive, memory card)
*
QUOTE(icelight7 @ Jul 19 2013, 12:31 AM)
Samsung microsd can read up to 70mb/s, write up to 20mb/s rclxm9.gif
but is around 20-40% expensive

QUOTE(azuradaniel @ Jul 19 2013, 08:01 AM)
I heard Sandisk Class 10 first batch got problem. I just used Sandisk Class 4, no problem until now. Other good option is Kingmax Class 6 0r Class 10, if not mistaken price cheaper than Sandisk. I like Kingmax RAM & thumdrive, still using it, small, cheap & reliable.

I read they sell 32GB Kingmax Class10 at RM79, refer http://www.lelong.com.my/kingmax-32gb-micr...3-10-Sale-P.htm

QUOTE(Cavino @ Jul 19 2013, 09:41 AM)
I would temporarily skip 32GB SanDisk Class 10 as I'm not sure if its a fixed version or the worldwide reported faulty version. Transcend, Kingston, etc are all branded and reliable brand for Class 10.
*
Thanks for your feedbacks.. Anyone know where I can get them for the best price?

the biggest culprit of battery lost, Screen is the lowest usage.. this looks weird.. have you update your firmware to the latest firmware, XUBMG5 for i9505 or XUBMG1 for i9500?? then install Wakelock Detector to see what apps using the most cpu or trigger the wake..
*
How do you update to the latest firmware? I have similar battery problem like his.. my firmware now is XUAMDK for i9500.

just search in play store 'Wakelock Detector', or just click this link -> Wakelock Detector-Save Battery
your S4 is AP set? Malaysia official firmware dont have XUAMDK.. according to sammobile, XUAMDK is India firmware.. anyway, you still can update the firmware.. try install KIES on your PC, run KIES and connect your S4 through USB.. it should detect your S4 and search for the latest update..
*
Mine is SME set, registered. Sent in for warranty before also. What? India firmware? Really?

Do you root your phone? If not, you can get update OTA by going to Setting > About Device > Software Update.

Else, you can use KIES to get latest firmware
*
Nope. Can't get update through phone.. Will try kies later.. btw what about the firmware? Since you said its india firmware should I worry?

How to use Wakelock Detector?I've downloaded it but I don't know how to read it or what is causing my battery drainage. One more thing my battery drain very fast while I'm using the phone too.

if urs is SME set , shouldnt be india firmware ... pls sms ur IMEI to samsung to check on warranty date , to ensure it is SME set ...

QUOTE(davidlow7 @ Jul 28 2013, 04:57 PM)
Exactly.....

Either owner reads somewhere wrong or he accidentally got an imported set (AP).....
*
Ok how do you check the firmware? Most probably I read it wrongly, I'm pretty sure it's SME set because I sent it for warranty twice already.

XUAMDE is the first firmware release for Malaysia. You should get latest notification to update to latest XUBMG1 firmware, when you connect your phone to KIES. Maybe there is some bug in the earlier firmware to get OTA update.
*
I'll get it updated as soon as I reach home. Thanks for helping out.

Was just answering to your earlier concern on India set..

OTA if you can't do it..
KIES if you also can't do it (Try uninstall/reinstall latest Kies?)

Then I suggest you bring to Samsung SC ....
*
Oh okay..sorry..

Some of them suggest to use Odin.. so i think im going with that. First time so hope all goes well.

Every time I on my screen by pressing the home screen or on/off button there a slight 1-2secs delay. I have just updated my phone to the latest firmware and also inserted a memory card in the pass two days. Before this I never had this problem. Anyone knows what the problem might be?

The delay is meant for S voice . Press once, the device waits a few second for another click to jump on s voice app.

if you unhappy with this, simply go to the S voice apps , untick the option open via the home key
*
I have already disable that. Isn't that for making touchwiz response faster when you using the phone? My problem is when my phone is on standby and when I want to on the screen it delays 1-2secs after pressing the home or on/off button.

Lol I'm not sure too.. One after another problem with my s4. Dayumm. Anyone knows? I just factory reset two days days ago so I hope factory reset won't be the option. Don't wanna go through all the backup/restore and re-downloading back apps.
