I would temporarily skip 32GB SanDisk Class 10 as I'm not sure if its a fixed version or the worldwide reported faulty version. Transcend, Kingston, etc are all branded and reliable brand for Class 10.

That's the hoohaa on the news on S4 memory worldwide. That is why the 32GB LTE is the only true viable option for those who install HD games.

Thanks. Just PM him asking for price and most importantly asking if this is an OEM or an original SGP. There's fake Slim Armor View in the market now. Tho the listed price should indicate its an original. Any idea on the trustworthiness of this vendor?

I don't know abt other stuff but Slim Armor View market price is abt RM180. He sold at that price. So not really expensive for this model.

However Slim Armor View preorder lar....meaning have to wait 2-3 weeks before arrival. Did not ask yet if have to pay first. If no need pay first, can consider.

True but then again, if one spend all his budget to get an S4 and then cannot afford a good albeit expensive casing, he really shouldn't have gotten the S4 in the first place. This is leading to future debts ridden life style.

A discounted S3 should be better budget wise.....

Have to say tho.....some ppl just don't bother with good casing, they just switch phone every year when new models appear.

No, its actually slightly slower than the inbuilt memory. If you use it to take picture and video recording, the extra space it has negates the slower speed of the SD card. Its only slightly slower assuming you will be using Class 10 high speed SD card. If you use anything lower, it will be very very slow.

The last couple of days, Maxis internet connection got a bit coockoo. Even my S2 usual reliable connection got disconnected occasionally.

Thinking of removing the flap frequently to charge phone is gonna wear out the flap soon (loosen). Will still be waterproof after that meh?

Actually its not worth spending so much for S4 if you've got google nexus. S4 is for those who wants the fastest phone at the moment. I'm actually quite happy to stay with my S2 (updated to 4.1.2) if not for my wife needing another smartphone.

If you're at least in Klang Valley, LTE coverage is quite huge (KL, PJ, Subang) and expanding fast, would you rather spend RM1700 to get a phone where the internet bandwidth will be practically outdated in a year's time or add another RM300-400 to extend a few more years. Actually think abt it, you're actually paying RM300 for the essential 16GB more builtin memory increase. That by itself is worth it liao besides better battery life.

Or you could always wait till Note 3 comes out. Price for S4 sure to drop harder.

First, she would not appreciate Nexus. S3 is good and good buy now. S4's high end is not really worth it for her if she's not going to fully utilize S4 (unless you're loaded, then S4 is the one to go since its the latest model).

Frankly if my wife uses iPhone3 and she don't mind the screen size, iPhone 5 is the one to go. Its familiarity of use, larger screen (than 3GS) would impress her more than S4 unless she wanted really big screen. iPhone 5S release would be just around the corner tho, abt September or something.

As for RM1700....its just an example, as you know the price now is RM17** for non-Lte (not worth it, for future proof and lesser battery life) plus grrr...the 8-9GB usable memory only.

Low yat seller directD LTE pricing is also going down practically weekly. 2 weeks ago, 2127, 1 week ago 2121, today 2087. Can buy directly from their shop too in Subang. I'm seriously considering it, since I prefer a real shop where I can ask them to help put on SP (if I get Glas.TR). Anyway I will wait for good casing first (slim armor view?+glas.tr), then only consider buying.

Have to see how BIG the note 3 gets. If the physical size gets even bigger, I think I will still opt for S4. Note 2 size is big enuf for me liao.

2ndly estimated delivery of note3 will be at earliest November and up to January for a stable version. I'm not sure I can wait that long since my wife already fretting all over for not having a smartphone (she waited for mine) and I have stop her from getting galaxy y (not sure but the RM700-800 plus ones) since my S2 specs (1Gb ram, 16Gb inbuilt) still trumps that range.

S5 still a year away, note 3, half a year (for stable version) and ip6....more than a year away. 5S too small, my old years cannot read long without straining. Even my S2 4.3 nowadays, my eyes strained a bit liao...getting old.

The mediate octa core might not be practical until they solved power consumption issue. True 8 core is a monster at performance but for a smartphone, for now I think it will drained too much power for practical usage unless they use monster battery or a new battery tech.
