QUOTE(mikehwy @ Jan 22 2014, 01:39 PM) just sent for general service. found that the air con radiator was dirty with greasy stuff insude + brownish rusty bottom. rm80 for flushing the radiator and rm80 for changing the top n bottom layer. Flushing is useless..that corrosion is so hard to be removed..u should do radiator cleaning..or just buy the new radiator only cost rm80 cheapest ive found brand new..and use coolant plus battery water..... my foreman refused to use castrol mtech 10-40. i think he plans to use 5/10-30. image shows the dirty radiator inlet ... update later .... QUOTE(mikehwy @ Jan 23 2014, 07:26 PM) i forgot. for those who are going to replace the battery, use the larger type '60'. only rm10 extra. its larger and stronger n does not stress the alternator or the electrical charging system. it is strong. look at the serial code at the edge of the foto below how much did u do the grounding?..any effect? |

QUOTE(evofantasy @ Feb 12 2014, 05:19 PM) Just wanna ask, is it possible for the service advisor to pay on my behalf? Cause I just collected my car on Monday and paid for all the repairs. Then on today, the service advisor called me saying that he left out 2 receipts and claimed he paid for me earlier and asked if I can compensate him back. It is just kinda weird considering everything is electronic and should be billed to me automatically. i think possible..because the bill is just typed manually..although by computer..usually by clerk that dont even know what is been done on your car..the service man should write down everything on the paper that is given to the clerk..ps: It is official perodua service center |

QUOTE(mikehwy @ Apr 10 2014, 01:27 PM) Insatlling cabin air filter ... hows your aircond now?..im thinking of installing the same filter, but i think better i clean the cooling coil 1st then only install the filter..I have a QUESTION - is the air filter inserted the WRONG way? it is the ONLY way to push in because the 2 nut holes need to be aligned. OR, do i need to invert the WHITE filter inside the bracket ? WHICH WAY for the WHITE filter to go in (i have seen some google images that the front side of the bracket should go in upwards, and not like mine here where the backside went in upwards) ? Please advise me. Thanks |

QUOTE(chrizzz1225 @ May 22 2014, 12:33 PM) Hi guys... sorry to swerve out of the current topic, but I hope I can get some insights/advices/solutions on what could have caused my Kelisa's increasing problematic ride and handling: actually what is your car current problem?..About a week ago my car skidded and hit a road divider. It was raining and I was driving across a hill road in Penang (Relau hill to be exact if anyone of you is from Penang). While negotiating a rather tight corner (I was driving quite slow, around 30 to 40kmh as I know the road is wet), my car lost traction and started steering to the oncoming traffic. I had to hit the brakes cos the corner was leading to a downhill path and god knows what will happen if I don't brake. The crash broke my car's left lower arm (screwed my left fender as well), so I got it replaced. My mech said that my car could have faced hydroplaning due to water or grease on the road, but as the one experiencing the crash I know that it is not merely these factors that caused the skidding. I have actually got both of my car's front lower arms, front arm bushings and front stabilizer bushings replaced 2 weeks ago. Alignment was done too. So supposedly the car should had handled better than before as these components were really worn off. In fact, during non-raining seasons, my car handles rather okay. My front shocks are standard Kayabas and 3 years old, and I'm running on 14 inch wheels. While turning there was no creaking sound so I think the problem shouldn't be a worn off driveshaft. Could it be some worn off camber bolts, or steering issues? Do lend some insights on my issue ya, thanks a bunch... |

QUOTE(maxgamer_82 @ Oct 17 2014, 06:44 PM) hi,newbie here, my Kelisa is the SE model, year 2006.Mileage nearly 300k because i go to Kuantan every week. I got this problem : it could be either your alternator, aircond compressor or power steering pump is hard to be turned already. or your belting is interfering with each other or other foreign object.1. My alternator, aircond and power steering belt putus while driving. Change all the the belt but snapped again. Then I change the belt and the pulley. Went ok for a while before the alternator belt putus again on Karak Highway while driving. Already change the belt for 4th time, but there's a 'squeaking' noise in the engine. I realize that everytime its squeak, there's a chance that the belt snap again...anyone ever experience this before? 2. Anyone know where can i find reliable mechanic for Kelisa in KL? 3. Is there any affect if i fit Myvi SE tyre and rims on my car? This post has been edited by megat89: Oct 17 2014, 07:00 PM |

QUOTE(mikehwy @ Dec 11 2014, 11:59 AM) bro megat. u see the below service@package parts etc2 list..those are the item price that i changed..the first picture is the head cover box..see the part number on the box and on the receipt both are telly..4 items i changed, head cover, head cover gasket, plug, and spark plug..the old one they returned back to me..the list on top is the labour cost..yes perodua sc price i found very cheap for some items..even the rear absorber only cost about rm96..they even have cheaper one brand proganti cost rm60 something which is also by perodua..outside shop at my place is rm110 last time..i would rather go to perodua..at least those items are confirmed ori..and the head cover, they have the expensive one..rm800 something..but what i understand, they have no stock since too expensive..from the receipt, i think you have only SERVICED the head cover (NOT changed it?), cylinder, + only CHANGED plug tube? the receipt did not show the price for top cover? it is relatively cheap! mine was much higher. only the engine top cover already rm190! did not change the plug tube as they were only oily from the leakage inside. QUOTE(FatalitY @ Dec 17 2014, 11:50 PM) Guys...if I wanna do full overhaul in PJ/Sgr area, where would you recommend and how much will it cost? My mechanic told me full overhaul bout RM3K standby. They will bore a bigger hole for bigger piston....got such thing ka? No such thing.. My experience is they just replace the piston ring and only about rm1.3k.. And why do u need to bore a bigger hole? Unless if your engine block is already damaged. |

QUOTE(FatalitY @ Dec 18 2014, 09:22 AM) Icic...but is the price considered reasonable then for a full overhaul? That's gonna be heavy on my pockets I did at about rm1.3k for full overhaul..Change all bearing inside, change many seal, metal head gasket, radiator gasket plus servicing the radiator, piston ring,, engine oil, steering oil, oil filter..rm3k is just unnecessary..u rather go buy a second hand engine and do full overhaul like mine..still wont cost rm3000 i think.. |
