any thoughts on furthering my engineering career as a project engineer or discipline (technical) engineer? currently accepted a graduate program offer from technip uk in subsea division. was wondering if i should expand my technical side instead of jumping into project/management division too early...anyone offer to shed a light on this matter perhaps?

Wonder if anyone coming from subsea construction engineering side? aka technip, subsea7, eni saipem are examples of contractors who does those stuff. I have got some questions regarding career progression within this area of expertise.

I am currently considering if i should switch to projects side of this industry rather than staying in technical part. Technical is intensive and challenging at times but u'd get old doing evrything over and over again, whilst projects side u get to deal with budget, timeframe, writing operational/construction procedures etc. rclxub.gif rclxub.gif
