Anyone know how is the job prospect/salary range etc for Chemical Engineers in Government Sector??

I am currently in a dilemma , im an A-level student .results is AAA , and have applied for this year inake for Bachelor (Chemical Engineering) in Monash University Sunway Campus

I was offered the place and also offered a 25 % scholarhip per year . The original tuiton fee per year is rm 38000 , up to four years , and in addition i can apply PTPTN totalling about rm40k

but , there is now a PIDN scholarhip that i am egligible , the scholarships covers the full tuiton fees for the whole course + yearly allowance about rm9500 , if i choose to take this offer , then i would have to serve a 6- year bond under government after i completed my studies

But i really want to go further my master in australia and work there is possible

Now , my dad is letting me to decide whether to take the governemtn sponshorhip and server for 6 years , OR let my parents self- fund . ( they are ok with self-funding )

I dunno what to do >.<

after i serve the government for 6 years with a low salary , will i be able to jump into a higher pay when i go private sector??? cause about that time my age should be 30 and im scared after 6 years i will be still earning fresh graduate salary TT

Hi , im enrolling in a chemical engineering course right now , i would like to ask for advise on which stream to focus on which will be more applicable to OnG industry

Biotechnology
The opportunities for the application of chemical engineering skills in biotechnology are widespread - from tissue engineering to biosensor development and from development of an artificial kidney to drug delivery - from fermentation processes to biofuels and from drug development to biopolymers.

Sustainable processing
Sustainable processing is concerned with the principles of sustainability and life cycle assessment to the development of environmentally clean technologies for product manufacturing and power generation. In this stream, students will learn how to develop processes for generating energy and for manufacturing existing and new products from renewable raw material sources.

can anyone in the industry give some helpful insight? smile.gif , the second is more like environemt engineering , while first one is more like biochemistry

I'm enrolling in Monash Sunway Campus

Thanks for any helpful information
