seniors, kind enough to share your experience working offshore? both goods and bads would be nice. fyi, im a final year student in electronic engineering in the local college here. and might find opportunities in O&G in the furture
any prerequisite to join the o&g industry?

hi, im a electronic engineering student graduating in the coming october. i have been interested in the oil and gas industry for quite some time. i prefer to work offshore as my hometown is in penang. my question is what are the jobs based offshore? and what are the companies besides shell, petronas and exxon? i know now is only beginning of march and i am expected to graduate in october but can i start to apply now?

lets say if i work in the oil and gas industry for sometimes, i have to work in o&g for the rest of the day? will there be any career prospect if i decided to migrate to say electronics manufacturing in penang?
