Which rig does the survivors work on? Thank god all of them are still alive? Another example of how risky upstream is

Hi All,

I have just been invited to Halliburton's final stage assessment day for the Entry Level MWD/LWD Field Engineer role and one of the tasks is to setup a pulser. Does anyone here know what a pulser is? Thanks!
*
Im not an mwd/lwd eng and jobless but ill try to answer ur question regarding pulser. Pulser is the one part of the measuring while drilling / logging while drilling tool use to send downhole signal to the surface or rig floor. There are negative pulse, positive pulse or continuous pulse. The pulse send to the surface using the drilling mud as the medium only when you have mud circulation. When the pulse arrive at the surface or rig floor they will be received by the geospan which is install at standpipe manifold. In short pulser is to send downhole data to the rig floor using drilling fluid as the medium of transmission

the first thing u should do now is print your resume and then physically walk to their offices hand hand in your resume. or mail your resume if you know their addresses. or email your resume if you know their HR.

Received this from my friend. I believe this is the first fatal incident for 2014.

Work safe guys.

in the end their company by next year would forget about the tragedy and move on. but the family members have to take all the emotional and physical burden.
