I don't care if Torres doesn't score much in the epl, if he continue his goal scoring form in european competition then it's ok~

Hazard's work rate is just superb...ran all the way to get the loose ball and draw the foul from mandzukic...

Cant blame lamps or cole for not perfecting the offside trap...both played full 120 minutes...sure there is fatigue...

Look at the bright side guys...from this game, we know that
1) hazard has wad it takes to step up in a big game. 2) torres can still be depended on big games. 3) cech is nearing his top form with so many point blank reflex save 4) lukaku's missed penalty wil make him a better player. KTBFFH! |

It was a good game from Chelsea in my point of view.
Schurrle shows that he can be in the starting 11 with some good runs. Just that Alaba was hard on him, restricted his attack a little. Torres' goal scoring form in European games remain in tact. Maybe coz European games less physical compared to EPL games? Hazard is the man. His work rate is simply superb. I remember twice in our own half, he run towards the loose ball and draw fouls from Mandzukic to return the possession to us. Even with only 10 players on field, we played like we have 11 players on field, we even managed to score. And the defending that we did to hang on to the lead is very Mourinho-ish. The Mou feel is back with all those stern defences, last ditch tackle by Cahill, Luiz's no nonsense clearance, Cech's superb reflex saves. Some might blame Lamps for not properly clearing the ball or Cole's late response in offside trap for the equalizing goal. But then, both of them played 120 minutes already, it's just bad luck, can't but the blame entirely on them. Players have fatigue too. I just can't wait for the next Champions League game, Chelsea will be firing on all cylinders. KTBFFH! This post has been edited by briantwj: Aug 31 2013, 11:47 AM |

To be honest, Lukaku loaned to Everton is a good move. Eto, Torres and Ba. There is too much experience and quality in these strikers. It will be very hard for Lukaku to break in.
I think Ba wanted to stay. That is why the club chose to loan Lukaku instead. Ba wanted to stay and prove himself. Maybe the club feels that Lukaku will understands the situation and is easier to persuade to go out on loan. Jelavic now shooting blanks. If Lukaku scores 2 goals in a row, I'm sure Martinez will put him in the starting 11. Just hope that Lukaku understands the situation. Chelsea wants him, but with 3 top strikers already, it will be very hard for him to get playing time. Hope Lukaku understand we are just loaning him out for experience and playing time. Hope he doesn't feel he is not wanted. Chelsea see him as a future player, that's why we just LOAN him out. Hope he doesn't do a Sturridge and hands in a transfer request next season. |

Ba has more experience than Lukaku imo.
Ba played in West Ham and Newcastle before. In West Ham, 13 appearance and 7 goals. In Newcastle, 58 appearance and 29 goals. So in some sense, he does have more Premier League experience. So I think he might be able to contribute more compared to Lukaku who is still finding his feet in the Premier League. Lukaku is good, no doubt about that. But he only had 1 full season playing as a starting 11 or team player in West Brom. Ba has more experience imo. Give Lukaku some time playing more matches. He WILL be our next Drogba. |

Look at west brom, they had Long, Odemwingie, Rosenberg, but Lukaku still started quite a number of matches during his time in WBA. |

Can u imagine Baines and Coleman supplying all the crosses to Lukaku? It will be easy for him to adapt to Everton's playing style i think.

I think Mou is afraid of Essien's fitness. Playing in UCL, FA cup and Carling cup will take it's toll. Judging by the situation now, Mou's midfield duo for EPL is Lamps + Ram. I think in the cup matches it'll be Essien + Mikel.
When UCL enters the knockout phase and Essien is fit, I'm sure Mou will put him in the squad. Essien is a big game player. Rmb the volley he scored against Barca? This post has been edited by briantwj: Sep 6 2013, 12:38 PM |
