As far as I know, there are no Gay or Lesbian or Bi in pets/animals.
Those are purely human behaviour, not pets/animals. KP |

QUOTE(bebee @ Sep 18 2007, 06:09 PM) Your previous reply was so confident that that was your cat. Don't mislead people. Furthermore if it is true that your cat got whacked to death by your neighbour, why wasn't it mentioned earlier. And if it is true, you can report her to the SPCA or responsible forces to take actions against her for cruelty towards animal. I know I would, if I have a cat and if something like that happened. QUOTE(abang brother @ Oct 23 2007, 10:31 PM) Spay/neutering means "kasi" or "kembiri" in BM or they say "yim" in Chinese. They will do a minor surgery on the reproduction area that will prevent the female cat to get pregnant or the male cat to impregnate a female cat. Spaying/neutering also helps to control your pet in a lot of ways besides having more kittens/pups KP |

QUOTE(selenium @ Nov 8 2007, 07:02 PM) i just hate the fact that when u have a cat its more like the cat is the master while u are the pet. Haha, I can't help myself from replying... If you have a pet, ANY type of pet(esp weird or exotic or pure breeds one), most of the time they are the master to you. The owners are merely slaves to them for feeding them, caring for them, cleaning their poo/housing, spending money on their needs/vets and so on... So it does not apply only to cats, but all type of pets That is why you must think hard, twice or even a 100x before getting a pet. Once you get one, you're automatically a "slave" to the Hahaha It's not a matter of love only, but responsibility and sacrifises too KP |

Thanks everyone
It's a male. A cross breed of "kucing kampung" & DLH. QUOTE(longaty @ Nov 20 2007, 08:52 PM) My husband call him Oren Went to the vet, the vet ask for the cat's name, we we're like, err, "oren" QUOTE(crazymouse_yyh @ Nov 20 2007, 09:57 PM) Wahhh... mata bulat bulat. If I found a kitten like that I would also take and keep hhehehe.... I kittens with big eyes. Haha, I think the "bulat2" eyes was accidental capture cuz he was being playful that time He is very playful and manja with me & my husband, but the moment we have a guest, he will run off hiding at the back of the washing machine until the guest leaves So if people wanna play with him, have to stay and let him get used to them for a few days first QUOTE(-Mogwai- @ Nov 21 2007, 04:58 AM) did anyone know where is the shop that sell the Friskies(R) Gourmet Poultry Flavors and Science Diet(R) for Cat food for the cheapest price? I think Friskies price at hypermarkets are cheap. Science Diet and such has standard price, don't think think you can get it cheaper than any other place. Difference perhaps a few cents only. Go for better food lar, don't just think about cheap, but think of the quality of the food KP |

Dien, your oren is sooo Oren
Some of my friends who went to Matrade on work basis had a chance to enjoy the the show for a bit, they said there we're lots and lots of beaoootiful cats and not to mention award winning ones... Tomorrow the exhibition and such will go on, but most winning cats will not be there anymore as most owners wants to give them the day off Owh, and they said there are also cats for adoption Enjoy! QUOTE(silencio87 @ Nov 26 2007, 12:19 PM) hey there... my cat is now 7 months old and im rather worried about this cat's behaviour tho. He is afraid of people especially guests or outsiders. He's ok with the family members but not other people. He tends to hide in dark places whenever he heards loud noises like the firework . Also,at times,he gets really aggressive and starts climbing on any of the family members. He scratched me on the face the other day Im a bit worried because before this,he is such a charming cat.I only have him alone and i got him when he was 2/3 months old. What's wrong with this cat? Err, sounds pretty normal... Some cats are just like that. "Oren" is exactly like your cat... He is only used to me and my husband and will immediately run and hide when we have guest at home. Once I forced him out from the back of the washing machine and gave him to my friend to hold for a while, he struggled to run away and "koyak" a bit of my friends shirt But when it's only me and my husband, he is so "manja" and wants a belly rub and sleep near us only... I think it's a matter of how we train and gets the cat used to people. I am doing that slowly by always taking him out from his hiding place and show to people(but I will hold him...), my next plan is to take him "jalan-jalan" outdoors with a leash mebbe KP |

QUOTE(serenayap @ Dec 3 2007, 06:06 PM) Dude, don't simply judge and say it's ugly lar. The Sphynx never asked to be created that way. It's beautiful in its own way. It's a special breed without fur, great for people allergic to cat fur. It will grow very fine fur during really cold times but will shed the lot when it is hot. QUOTE(elfreakz @ Dec 3 2007, 06:35 PM) wah becareful with what you are saying it, sphynx is god creation too.. every creation has the beautiful inside it. dont judge the book with its cover Added on December 3, 2007, 6:37 pm im not sure it is true or not, i heard there are only like 5 sphynx in malaysia. to get this breed is damn hard i can say. if u read about this breed, then you know that they need more grooming than fur cats Agree. Yes, all the Sphynx we have in Malaysia are imported. Not readily available in Malaysia. Yes, the care is not as easy as we think. QUOTE(hyakushikki @ Dec 3 2007, 10:03 PM) why sphinx cat ar? got spartan cat o nt? lolz...sure look cooler... if no then Bullcat...cool also wat^^ Sphynx is really a cat breed. abang_brother,
I think I have answered that question regarding spaying & neutering to you before. It's called "kasi or kembiri" in Malay and "yim" in Chinese. It's to prevent your cat(s) to breed lah. Have sooooo many kittens, nobody wants it, and end up become strays, dirty and dead. KP Added on December 4, 2007, 3:16 pmThere you go, http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/285961/+700 answered you at post #702. So fast forgot already? QUOTE(abang brother @ Dec 4 2007, 06:27 PM) Haha, cik abang brother, that's where you are wrong and why most kampung folks won't neuter their pets. I am a muslim too and I neuter all my pets because I do not want uncontrolled breeding. I do not wish to contribute to the suffering of unwanted pets. There's already too many of them, be it cats, dogs, hamsters and so on. Long time already JAKIM has announce on the fatwa shared here by elfreakz, and that is exactly what I tell the people in my kampung now Salam. QUOTE(caerulln @ Dec 4 2007, 07:02 PM) U mean islam does not allow neuter? U got it wrong my brother. There is already a fatwa saying that neutering & spaying is allowed in Islam as long as it is for good intention You're correct, we ARE ALLOWED to neuter our pets QUOTE(elfreakz @ Dec 4 2007, 07:08 PM) Article taken from www.spca.org.my We have referred to the "Jawatankuasa Kemajuan Islam Malaysia" regarding the neutering of pets. Below is the "fatwa" issued by JAKIM (July 2002): "All pets like cats and dogs are allowed to be neutered or spayed in order to maintain the health and welfare of both the animals and the community." "Bahawa mengembiri binatang kesayangan seperti kucing atau anjing hukumnya adalah diharuskan dengan sebab-sebab tertentu iaitu bagi menjaga muslahat ummah." After studying the messages of the aforementioned "mazhab"s and the medical viewpoint of the SPCA animal experts, 'JAKIM' has decided that neutering of cats for reasons of 'maslahat' is acceptable. It is in agreement with 'qaedah' (way) Fiqhiyyah which states "To choose the lesser of two evils". Thanks for putting this up. I hope it is clear now for all the muslims and non-muslims. QUOTE(abang brother @ Dec 5 2007, 07:08 AM) Guys, how to groom a cat? Would like to buy the item for grooming but dunno how and dunno what to pick! Haha, wanted to answer you, but elfreakz has done that QUOTE(elfreakz @ Dec 5 2007, 09:32 AM) the most important is u need a shampoo...a good one. if u have a cat with sensitive skin, then choose shampoo with sensitive skin. else just normal one get flea shampoo if u have a fleas on your cat. else no need. if you have long hair cat, u might also want a conditioner, to make their fur soft and silky other than that, u need a fur brush for long hair, u need to brush (sikat) their hair everyday, so the dead fur will be remove. i did mind 2 times a day. nail clip? hmm im using human one.. i bought cat nail clip 2 times, and both 2 things didnt work earcare - this is important too thats it. above is the basic things u need. u do not need to spend so much money... Shampoo, for now I am using mild baby shampoo cuz he is only 5 months and I worry normal cat shampoo is a bit harsh Fleas, did a frontline treatment. Conditioner, I use a 3 in 1 powder that includes conditioning, rub it in and brush it Yeah, nail clipper, I use the normal one too (for human). One is specially for my pets Ear care, so far the cleaning during his bath time is good enough, his ears are sparkly clean inside out KP |

QUOTE(abang brother @ Dec 5 2007, 12:37 PM) Oh ya, how do you guys take bath of your cats? I put my cat in a baldi fill with rain water, let their body wet then i put some shampoo on their body then scrub then pour with water then finish. Is it ok? Uii, rain water? Ask sifus if okay not? I've never used rain water or cold tap water, I make sure the water is warm, either use the shower water heater or masak air and add to the baldi. I think if rain water kena human also can demam, won't it effect cats too? Cats can get demam too you know... QUOTE(elfreakz @ Dec 5 2007, 12:42 PM) kuku kucing can be dangerous to you and the cats too. if human, takut dia cakar. for the cats, if they have gatal2 on skin, they will scratch their body, kalau terlalu tajam - boleh luka tau. bila luka akan terkena lah kuman2. normally indoors cats kena potong kuku, for furniture protection. remember kita bukan potong the whole kuku, just the sharp part Yup, just the sharp tip only... If I don't cut, rosak lah all my precious furniture KP |
