hyaku, from what i know cat's fleas does not favor human blood and is not prosperous on human blood as they are on animal or cat blood. but they can bite you and cause skin irritation. egg production is probably in longer period, but only in worst case scenario

my cat has fleas before, it chews and scratches it's skin till got some minor bleeding scratches. if your cat have fleas, vaccinate them.
as for me, i have 11 cats not only with fleas, worst with ear mites, vaccination is expensive for all 11 cats, so my vet gave me some sort of drop. that drop is cheap. about rm20. concentrated alcohol, 2 drops on each ear and i rub leftovers on the their neck. tada, fleas and mites all gone!!

i recommend u st. angel clinic, i go the one in puchong. it is cheaper compare to other vets that i been to. so much cheaper. they also give 10% discount on cats food even that day i bought cat collar also the cashier give me 10% discount. they also have branch at seri kembangan and kajang

i put y cat in my room..
but i train them to poo or pee outside the room..

all my cats are in their own room. they poo and pee in there room with litter box ofcourse. No smell if you have fans and automatic spray perfume. i bought my spray perfume at giant, cost about rm29. i put it on spray every 25 minutes. the machine will auto doing it

if u dont want to get it, so buy a good litter. maybe okoplus (kinda expensive) or clay with smell i think the brand is fussion or something.

if u have 2 cats then no problem with the smell.. as long as the windows half open atleast, and there is a fan.

at the end of the day, the more time you clean the litter box, the better it is. my cat room, i will clean 3 times a day, everytime i saw poo poo, i will throw it, without waiting for tomorrow.

the more important thing if we put our cats in room..
we have to rajin in cleaning their poo and pee..
like what my friend did last time..
everytime he reached room from classes, he will get rid his cat's poo and pee first..

no prob. just go to vet, tell your doctor your budget and she'll tell you what solution is good.

since i have lotsa time, i'll tell u something about litter box. can place at laundry room or somewhere slightly isolated but accessible to the cats. place your cat one the litter box several times. cat nature is to dig something before after their business.

my mistake was to go to near by supermarket and buy this shallow cheap litter box. i bought 3 of them which is a waste
this one is too shallow. cat love to dig in their litter sand like mental. u end up wasting the litter sand on the floor as it it too shallow


recommend go to petshop, invest on this :




if you have tight budget this month. one economical solution is find plastic container around this height


recommend non clumpy litter. clumpy one hard to wash with water. stick here and there, stick to their paws too. my cats like tesco cat litter rm12.90 or purina tidy cat rm10.90

cheap substitute for the air spay... is to dilute some clorox with water inside spray bottle (the one used to spay water when ironing clothes) spray to the air around litter box when it gets smelly. extra money can buy like elfreakz said

-clay
-crystal

i use all of it now

if u have many cats you better use pine type.. it observe more smell.. and come out to be pine smell like ikea furniture eheheheh. for this i use OKOPlus. kinda expensive but last longer for my cats. suitable for both short and long hair. need more time to keep the track of it, because the pine is lighter material, so easy to follow your cats after poo poo.

clay is good too.. depends on what type of brand. some brand are just too bad. but some are good and comes with special smell. im using fussion for this, got smell.. suitable for short hair only. my long hair dont use this because it stick to their fur easily.

crystal very good keeping the pee smell out, it make the pee dry. but not that good in taking out the smell of poo poo.

its up to your budget. for me, i will still prefer pine type.. and ofcourse clay will be the cheapest.

p/s just try it all, and see which one your cat love the most

hi if we keep a cat in the room and dont let it go out will it hurt the cats mentality?I heard some where people say if confine the cat it will have mental problem

that also one of my concern, bcuz i live in apartment and i live nt wif my parents , bt wif my frenz...so most probably my cat will be inside my room...
bt actually plan to leave him out also for few hours a day...

last time i let my cat out to do their business. i think maybe they do it at my neighbour's garden. so someone throw poisoned bone and fish head in my car porch. my cats died of course. some of my get hit by cars, some just dont return home.

so if up to you. i sayang my cats so much. i dont let them out, but they have other cats to play with. never heard about mental problem before. if u let your cats out, must vaccinate them. one of my cats which is an escape artist always bring home lice, ear mite, watery eyes probably infected from other stray cats.

if your room is very small like a size of normal toilet in houses, that maybe hurt the cat.

if you have your cats in a room, it will become mental problem and boring face when you put the room 100% like human prison/rehab/mental institution. oh well you know prison look like right.

buy toys - cat tower - scratching post - afterall cat is a hunting animal, they love box(es) too. get your cat another cat as a friend. sure your cat will enjoy that room with lots of toys and friend(s)

cat is known as the clean animal. they lick their fur every single day and time. although this happen, you still need to bath your cat for deep grooming.

buy good shampoo product if you have short hair.

buy fleas shampoo protection if your cat have fleas.

buy sensitive skin shampoo if you have problem with that on your cat.

buy whitener shampoo if you have white color cat.

buy shampoo and conditioner if you have long hair cat.

just shampoo and bath body part. not advise to go to face part. for face just wipe with wet cloth.

all this will make your cat clean and smell good. some people doing it once a week. depends on your free time, but never leave your cat without bath more than 1 month. it will look bad and smelly.

as for teeth, its very hard to brush them. u may want to ask vets or groomer for a help. else get cat food that can reduce tar tar. like science plan - they have 1 food brand to clean teeth.

ears - get earmites killer product. just drop the liquid into your cat ears.. take cotton bath and clean the external part. NEVER GO DEEP INSIDE THE EAR, its sensitive!

eyes - wipe it with wet cloth. unless got infection then u need to use medicine.

paws / claws.. cut it if it is very sharp... NEVER CUT ALL THE CLAWS!! ITS HURT.. just cut the small sharp part at the end of it. again never ever cut all of it. your cat end up crying and bleeding.

but, many of our adopted cats "stolen" when we let the cats go out side..
and my new cat, pearl also hilang..

yes pls adopt one. little kitten at restaurant look like peasant, but once u feed and bath them, they r adoprable. also can adopt for rm50 at paws at subang. some of the cats there already neutered i think. good luck

we can actually brush cat's teeth by using special paste for cats and infant size brush...brush gently and onli for 20-30 seconds of brushing...
lol..for paws...i really dare nt potong lar...last time i got one Sumatran Beo bird..my mom frustrated bcz the bird keep on claw-in her hand when she wanna feed him...my mom then intended to cut his nail a little bit.bt it ended up in blood mess...bleedin all over...i'm so scared tht time...hopefully the blood can stop after treated personally by my mom..hahaha^^
