Actually is opposite the Lake not to close no worry, but seem like only local people know this nia. Something to share too actually that area is a huge sanitary landfill in year 1990- 2000 and the biodigestion still in process and the treated sanitary waste water is flowing to the lake. No worry it is treated to class A as Malaysia waste treatment standard.

International standard for safe distance is 7.5 km radius from the incinerator.

The distance was measured last time, it is about 1.7km apart.
.
One thing need to highlight is that this is a proposed project, similar like Broga plant. What is more fascinating here is that they propose to build near housing areas near Taman Sri Murni, Taman intan baiduri, Taman nanyang. Laman Residensi, KiPark, etc. those are like 600-700meter apart.

Why are they doing that? If Broga plant is located in not so populated afar can get so much protests and then get cancelled, what will happen to this Beringin Incinerator? Is it coincidence to MRT? For MRT, do they need to acquire land for building track and station? Are they nearby that area?

What happen to areas adjacent to Broga? Become Nottingham and some land sold to Country Garden. You tell me coincidence or this is like a plot in TVB series....scare the shit out of you and then acquire land from you. I am speculating.

Back to Beringin incinerator, fellow MPs such Tan Seng Giaw, Lim Lip Eng, etc. are working diligently on it to ensure this plant will not take off. I will be heading home after my assignment to meet them to sign petiiion. Have you done your part? Help help lah....

For those still worry and can't get over it, the choice is yours. One can just drop it out, maybe I could be the lucky one to pick it up.

For those wish to speak privately, do PM me.

broga was not the 1st proposed site for the country's 1st mega incinerator.

it was kg bohol off 6th mile jalan puchong but under mukim sg besi. a petition managed to garner some 130,000 signatures. the news of this "cancer factory" (as dubbed by dap's ronnie liu) also sparked countless protests by residents n (opposition) politicians in various part of puchong n pj. the authorities finally agreed to move the plant to a 'safe' site, broga. it was a huge success n victory for the people of puchong, pj n parts of kl.

ronnie liu also cited that the EIA report recommended the relocation of the nearby Kinrara Army Hospital and Army Residential Area clearly shows the danger posed by the project. Media Statement by Ronnie Liu

the broga site was found to be not suitable as it would be situated very close to Sungai Semenyih which supplies water to the Jenderam water treatment plant. it then supplies treated water to southern selangor n putrajaya.

that makes tmn beringin (jinjang utara) the 3rd proposed but almost confirmed site for this unwelcome plant. will taman beringin face the same fate as the earlier 2 proposed sites? current n future residents there must act fast now.

i foresee that any alternative sites (if not tmn beringin) will be stuck in wp (kl) as the current selangor govt will not allow or permit such an unpopular project.

though not vested here, u can count on me to 'sign' if n when there is an online petition.

now there is a valid n strong reason as to why the proposed incinerator should be cancelled or relocated away from pupulated areas.

this incident or rather accident happened just 2+ days ago

3 men injured in incineration plant fire at Tuas
