I just tried charging my HTC one in my car while using waze as my navigation. Plus I also turned on my hotspot. But then I realized that it drains faster than charges. Even without turning on my hotspot, it barely charged. Any idea on how to make it charge more than it drain? I wonder whether the phone would just die if I use too long while using the GPS. Lol.

P.s: I'm using Belkin 1am micro usb charger n Samsung micro usb cable.
*
The phone won't die while charging cos from 85%-100% the charging slows down to regular USB rate (500mAh). Below 85% it is charged like wall charger (up to 1000mAh), so once it reach 84%, and your charger supports it, it will charge faster than the drain.

Hi guys, just a quick question..how long does it takes to charge from 0% to 100%? I'm having a average range from 3 hr to 3.30 hr..is that normal? This becoming a big issue for me.. sad.gif
*
3-3.5 hours is long? Normal smartphone also charge this rate lol.

QUOTE(jloi @ Jun 22 2013, 07:38 PM)
it is normal because HTC One deault charge only 1000mAh power output.
you may try charge with ur note II charger and it will charge quickly (i tested with my friend Xperia Z and is faster)
*
It won't make a difference tongue.gif How fast a battery charges is not determined by the charger only, it's mainly based on how much charge the phone is requesting. The HTC One will only request for a max of 1000mAh, no matter what charger you use. 2amp charger screenshot below.

hi guys, anyone flashed elementalX kernel with stock rom (of course unlocked bootloader & rooted)?

My camera isn't working.

As mentioned in XDA, need to re-flash rom but the question is I don't know where to get the stock rom file.

Anyone?
*
ElementalX 0.11 says it has the camera fix for .16 firmware, so it should be working.

Hmm, I have tried all versions above 0.10. But neither is working.

That's why I voice out and look for solution.

Maybe I should try again tonight with latest version 1.1.

After flashed kernel if camera is still not working, I will flash camerafix.zip.
*
So far the camera fix does not work for .16 firmwares, that's why ElementalX .11 specifically say that it's fixed lol. No choice then have to use stock kernel.

I just got my HTC One sunday evening, no gap, no backlight leakgage, it is in perfect condition. it is a good looking phone  cool2.gif and LTE is working fine and fast enough! I didn't know Maxis LTE coverage is quite big, my phone can detect LTE in lot of places

Since I'm new to Android, previously coming from iPhone, I still feel the iPhone has better ergonomic design and user friendly interface.
*
Better ergonomic design? Hell no. It's a flat slab and damn difficult to hold. It's smaller that's all so you feel like it's better designed tongue.gif (not talking about the looks). User friendly? Sure, iOS was made with that in mind as the first priority, that's why Android users don't really like iOS cos it feels too simple and kiddy (my opinion of course tongue.gif)

Data is only wiped if you use HTCDEV to unlock your bootloader.

nfc tags can also be used in replace for their smartphone..said it in earlier post i think. just that those who have smartphone have the option not to use tags.
*
As far as I know, the NFC chip in smartphones are NOT writable. They are SCAN ONLY, and can only read what's on other NFC chip.

Any Viper ROM users here?
Was thinking of moving from ARHD to Viper, any bugs currently?
My htc.dialer crashes whenever i call ppl, it's getting very annoying..
*
Viper ROM, best tweaking ROM ever. From HoX to One, awesome dev team tongue.gif Haven't tried their ROM yet on One, cos normally, their first 1-3 releases will have some random bug that you will wonder how it went pass their QA xD But after that it's stable all the way, smooth sailing.

Yes. ROOR is ROM based, NOT device based. You still need an unlocked bootloader.

Regardless of who sell what, still same company selling thee phones to them. Ask which telco got better units is like asking which grain of rice in China is the best~
