It won't make a difference How fast a battery charges is not determined by the charger only, it's mainly based on how much charge the phone is requesting. The HTC One will only request for a max of 1000mAh, no matter what charger you use. 2amp charger screenshot below.

Theoretically what he said is true but practically is not so. I use my ipad 2.1A charger n phone charge to full within 2 hours +. The supplied charger needs 3+ hours. I guess the phone allows more than 1A input

ya i guess so too.
Anyway i tried it once only using friend Xperia Z charger.
And i believe good USB cable play important role too.
I got a cheap 1 (like RM10) and it charge very very slow compare with original cable.

here is the metal slim case on black. personally i prefer quicksand instead of transparent.



this is yesterday haul for car...

powerbank ( OEM one la, so far so good )
car holder ( was finding the air vent one but end up find the suck up on glass type)
and a stereo bluetooth headset , sony SBH20
