True..

Recently, i had problem on the rear screen antimist.
There got light in the switch but no heating. Everytime change a new 30A fuse and it just burn immediately.

When i went to SC and complaint.
One technician come and check for the short-circuit issue.
Based on one simple voltage meter, he straight away go to the conclusion:
My rear screen tinted film is not original! shocking.gif

I explained the ECOtint was come with car de, he then said all car from factory didnt come with tinted film.
Now for sure is tinted problem. Tinted film will voit the waranty.
He somemore find his nearby worker friends to convince me.  shakehead.gif

Then i called the SA, he also called his boss. Then he changed and say only 2.0 got tinted. WTC vmad.gif
I just stop talk to him and explain everything to SA. He ask me back to his site (Glenmarie) to check and confirm.

Before i leave, the stupid technician give me a very good suggestion.
He asked me go to ECOtint shops to check short-circuit. I wonder how to check??
He said just remove the tinted film by hand and check the back screen got heat up or not.

I double checked with him again how come tinted film can cause short-circuit?
He said the tinted film actually got one layer of metal and this will cause short-circuit....

At that point, I really want to show him my middle finger...

which service centre is this? it's complete bullshit. i know the owner of ecotint and he says the tint is in every inspira.

QUOTE(KL_leo @ Jun 26 2013, 07:07 PM)
Tesco Shell or castrol or mobile engine oil are outdated compare to the current market.

You can just check the API. Latest tech is SN. Tesco one i think only SL.
The last alphabelt represent the tech, later tech got later alphabet.

i'm not too sure about your claims, but i know that tesco imports their oil from european markets i.e. not local oil

I'm also using mobile 1 since day 1.
How is your car? Engine sound?

Actually I'm quite doubt with the tesco oil.
As hypermarket and supplier, they also want to earn money.
They might just sales any supply from others with the lowest price.
Maybe also got fake oil sale the oil to Tesco...

s@ni & KL_leo & others,
Hi, mileage is 9000. I kena "buli" liao... actually the eng. oil I purchase is syntium 3000. After the boss fill in 4L but still not enough, he take syntium 1000 1L to add on(after went back then only notice, I got bring back the 1L bottle). But the bill show total 5L syntium 3000.

1. Engine oil 3000 can mixed with 1000 spec shouldn't be much problem right?
2. Just felt kena "buli" this feeling really not good. Will go SC again tomorrow for this issue.

By doing this will be too much for them... i'm not sure. Frankly speaking I would like to do this also haha.
Just need to confirm mixed of syntium 3000 and 1000 won't damage engine is my main concern.
At least need them to replace the 1L syntium 3000 oil...

For me, semi-syn is almost equal to fully syn mix with mineral.
Mixing is possible.

So now your case, should be fine i think.
Change engine oil around 8-9k lo.

your problem is same as mine..

1st, check either got current at the rear screen right connector..how to check? remove the C pillar trim, very easy to remove (as it is made by Hicom Teck Seng, lol)..a bit tricky at the hanging clip..need to correctly slide the pillar trim..

turn on the defogger switch, use test lamp at the connector..it should light if got current..if light, the rear screen got problem so that the defogger not function..

if didnt light, then got problem with fuse at behind glove box or some wiring problem all the way from defogger switch to rear screen..

error shown by ETACS is LIN TIME OUT U0215

In my case, once i turn on the switch, the fuse 30A straight away burn off.
NO chance to check with test lamp pun.

I'm not the people that good at wiring.
So only send the car to Glenmarie service center to check wiring.

Check then only notice the problem is the aircon controller switches.
They then check and replace the Defrost relay MR588567.
But this few days needs to check, just confirm everything is ok right now..
