QUOTE(TaurusOxford @ Jul 29 2013, 08:52 AM) I didn't get quite as much done today as I wanted, but it's enough to warrant an update: short term, oof, that damage, i feel its pain» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « http://imgur.com/GyeAFkb,gaP66Tn,GUyGS6b,0CKFWki#0 long term, that thing would look badass when it's done.. how you pose it later on will really sell it too |

QUOTE(rihuhs @ Jul 29 2013, 10:24 AM) or since it comes with the hangar, if he does the same damage to the hangar, and have the pilot looking at it the gundam from outside (paint the pilot too! and have the gundam in a weakened pose, after years of standing at the hangar and not being serviced/repaired, the knees and all the inner machinery has rusted and corroded, making the gundam weakened (much like what happens if your knees suddenly stopped working maybe some overgrowth would help too and you can have Kou looking up at it, sort of a reunion after so many years This post has been edited by HxiiiK: Jul 29 2013, 10:29 AM |

QUOTE(TaurusOxford @ Jul 29 2013, 12:07 PM) So change of plans. I might have to go with the hangar approach. Turns out that "natural" bases cost a f***ing fortune, and I lack the skill to make one from scratch. they don't have to cost a fortune, normally art stores would have those grass mats, probably A3 sized or so, or the 'grass' that come in bottles/containers that you can scatter all over the base to make it look like grass.. grab some branches off your lawn and scatter around and i think you can have a pretty convincing base.. the dirt can be found outside too, so yeah, art shops are your friend QUOTE(rihuhs @ Jul 29 2013, 12:20 PM) i think the hangar shouldn't have blast holes This post has been edited by HxiiiK: Jul 29 2013, 12:22 PM |

QUOTE(TaurusOxford @ Jul 29 2013, 12:29 PM) Actually, thinking about it, it'd be easy for me to make a frame. I also live on an island so moss and sand and rocks are within arm's grasp. you're welcome THE DREAM STILL LIVES! |

QUOTE(rihuhs @ Jul 29 2013, 12:53 PM) can't be, unless the gundam was shot by storm troopers (ehehehhh) since from what i can see so far, the legs doesn't have any damage to it, just highly worn out, and scratched, maybe but it can be done, although i'm not too fond of how that might look.. too many battle damaged scenes around? i'd like to see the gundam abandoned after maybe peace, perhaps? where gundams are not needed anymore |

it also helps to trim REAAALLLY slowly with a knife so your cut doesn't stress the plastic and make the area white... a sharp knife helps a lot too
mainly the white is due to the stress when you press against the part with the knife, due to the knife not being sharp enough or cutting too fast and pressing to hard on the ppart |

QUOTE(rihuhs @ Aug 1 2013, 10:12 AM) agreed. avoiding getting your finger cut takes practice (and lots of cuts at first) I use one of those knife with disposable blades that can be broke off to get a new sharp tip. when building a kit I usually broke off 3-4 tips, depending on the size of the model. so each blade would last about 3 builds also trimming it slowly reduced the risk of getting your finger cut This post has been edited by HxiiiK: Aug 1 2013, 10:16 AM |

QUOTE(Agito666 @ Aug 1 2013, 04:20 PM) summary for RG from my experiences: grrr.. u tempting me.. u sure ah best RG ever 1) RX78-2 , first RG, most parts to assemble, very awkward shoulder mount, bad bazooka mount 2) ZAKU II char ver. , first zaku, BAD FRONT SKIRT. 3) STRIKE, over improved a lot compare to first, a lot of posable pose can do. but also the colour separation did reduced a lot, due to AILE pack comes with it 4) ZAKU II mass production type, same SHIT with RG02, comes with custom decal to put your name. 5) FREEDOM , first split wing gimmick compare to MG PG whatever, also is a headache to assemble...well all freedom/ strike freedom is a headache to assemble when comes to wing part. 6) Skygrasper, thinnest box ever, no commend. 7-8) MKII, best RG ever, very sturdy 9) Justice, best remake design ever compare with old justice, include the backpack gimmick. 10) Zeta, First transformable RG, tallest RG ever, also first unique frame for transformation, include bendable V-fin, transformation is a HEADACHE, suggest you buy 2 for 2 modes for display 11) Destiny, better than that old MG gay slender leg design, RG one more macho |
