Teoh brothers uses human flesh on wheel balancing. I remember the problematic Iswaga oversized brakes, so they had to remove my tyres and refit it on different angle. Something like from 3 o'clock to 9 o'clock. If still unbalance, remove tyre refit to 6 o'clock and finally 12 o'clock to find the least wobble point baru start the balancing. I didn't ask why, but I guess billy520's sifu got a point there hmm.gif

Of course I'm not saying PS3 is bad.

Just saying you should do your own research as well. If you believe 100% what we say in this thread you also will hailat  brows.gif

If I buy tires from the tayar shop that I trust with my alignment and balancing, I'll support Silverstone kaw kaw jor because that is the only brand they sell whistling.gif

Can be done, last time I bought aquarium sponge filter, hook it on the cooling coil with rubber band. However, the rubber band snapped, later I tied it up with

Lu sendiri count how many coil difference? Here's a problem as Quazacolt pointed out, when the lowering spring usually 1 coil shorter than the stock spring, in compensate is using thicker material to offset the bounce rate to avoid the ride being too wobble. Hence, attaching these so called sport springs will make your absorber travel distance shorter. Shorter travel distance meaning you can enjoy temporary tight/stiff cornering. The car tend to bite more to the ground with lower center of gravity.

Due to shorten travel distance with absorber, the bounce rate increased on the lowered sport spring characteristics, the oil seal inside the absorber tend to wear off quicker than standard spring. Meanwhile, shorter spring also mean that the fully expanded spring length does not match with your spring mounting. Whilst going through bump, when the lower arm(front) or the torsion beam(rear) being traveled down, the lowering spring will lari a little bit due to not long enough. When the car landed, the spring will have to auto adjust itself to the mounting point, hence the annoying squeeking sound.

Progressive spring is the aftermarket spring that has the same travel length as the stock spring, but with different amount of coil count on the spring. For example:

So, next time if your absorber KO again, dont save money on the spring. The other day I already warn you save enough money for the spring liao sweat.gif

hmm i asked about that with my air cond guys, they don't recommend because it may get soaked if temperatures are very cold and eventually the filter will lose it's purpose too, or even worse, damage and bits of it circulating around your air cond ducts/vents clogging it sad.gif

aduih lol. i guess they are right? sad.gif
and alternative is to somehow mod filters into the vent itself, or the main passage after the blower (that one i've diy cleaned it before so no issues)

still procrastinating on it (as with other iswara members LOL, it's a game of "you do first and post guide la" among us sweat.gif
*
I use the sponge to cover the whols intake PRE-cooling coil, strap them with cable tie. That's it. It does not soak that way because there's no surface contact with the cooling coil at all. If by any chance the filter being wet, the only thing it soaked will be the plastic cover of the cooling coil whistling.gif Don't ask for picture, I have not join LYN that time so not planning to share with anyone back then yawn.gif Downside of doing so, seriously loud suction sound created by the blower, less efficient air flow(Iswaga & old GaGa is the worst among all the cars I've owned). Driver side (right vent) almost can't feel shit until switch to 4th speed doh.gif

QUOTE(Quazacolt @ Jun 23 2013, 08:39 PM)
subjective. the "less harsh" is due to rubber sharing some of the shock force from the spring. however, do take note that your spring are compressing less, which means it is unable to dampen some of the shock force.
and that is where davidke20 is coming from

refer a brief discussion between me and another veteran forumer lol:
https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=2839443

to simply put, if the force dampening required is not enough to bottom out the car without spring buffers, having spring buffers will be less harsh; While situations where the spring would bottom out already, having spring buffers may promote more harsh ness (although it may prevent the spring from bottoming out)
*
For a GaGa, if talking about bottoming up then the only choice will be TAXI spring liao whistling.gif I carry hundreds of KGs of documents on Thursday going OFF ROAD at Dengkil/Banting/Jenjarom/Panglima site just like a 30tons truck sweat.gif

Hifly tyre? never heard of it.... 205/55R15... nice! can fit 205 for our Saga?

how much per donut? maybe down south never see it....

is this a china tyre?
*
Ayam on 165/60R14 special donut for Shawie. For a ranjiao Goodyer will cost me RM180, even Cibaistones will cost RM160. In the end, I settled with Caina HiFly for RM125/pc. Have not experience with 205/55R15 cost it sure will sagat crazy on my GaGa. Surprisingly quiet tyre, so far great in wet traction. Dry... a little understeer compare to SimeAstar 100(could be the width though, previously I was with 185/60R14). However, funny part was despite having a smaller profile tyre, by right FC should improve, but I get the opposite. My Shawie FC has been drastically dropped from 6litre/100km up to current 7.3litre/100km doh.gif Ayam waiting opportunity to swap my back tyres out and get another pair of HiFly in to see the real deal. Wait for it.

On the other hand, HiFly tyre is NOT hard tread, so I will see how far can this tyre last before I start to recommend. Even if it's cheap, if the tread couldn't last more than 20k km, no point also. Might as well go back Cibaistone. Rather risk on wet traction or I can drive slower on wet roads.

If there's any progressive spring with higher tension coil at the bottom, whist have lower tension coil at the top. Yes you get all sort of wobble feeling on straight road. Ultra comfort ride without sagat. You'll also get extremely high G lateral cornering speed. However, bodyroll like mad at the initial stage of the cornering as the vehicle weight being compressed on the lower tension coils.

FYI, GaGa got more than 1 sagat issue. Few things you need to bear in mind, the brake caliper is extended out, whereas the brake hub is slotted inwards. So, choosing a correct negative offset rim is super important!!! However, most aftermarket rim with negative offset, the wheel edge is OFF mudguard, hence we sagat like crazy when going over uneven terrain. To remove sagat, either grind off your fender, sleeve it and put a bigger offset fender cover. OR, use lower profile tyres. OR, get a set of taxi spring to jack up the car icon_idea.gif If want lowering + soft + good cornering + comfort higher profile tyre without sagat.... you need to change car yawn.gif

Ya I agree badyear tyres too ex.... when I was in the market for a new set of donuts to replace me M3s, the badyear were the most ex, next to contis, falken was middle priced, below was the Sime tayar....

I have heard of china Sonar tyres.... quite cheap, me thinks cheaper than Sime tyre, my brother uses it.... he says quiet tyre ....

taxi spring how much ah? but if you change taxi spring, you have to change bearings as well correct? this one taxi uncle tell me...
*
No need, just detach the old spring, hook up the taxi spring, put back absorber and wheels gao dim icon_rolleyes.gif

did ask, but the 1st time i have them installed i wasnt at the workshop
so today they rubber hose-d both front and rear springs. after which still got squeaking sound and its due to the dead abs.

since already at workshop, get it fixed 1st, claim the warranty separately, and at most i'll have a spare set of rear abs later...  sweat.gif
