if they seal the sides of the intake properly, it would effectively prevent heat from the engine bay/radiators to enter the intake.

so, DIY homework: seal the sides yourself

and yes my stock iswara intake is from the side, or rather, plugged straight into the fender, so it isn't having direct air flow, just from the minor space inside the fender (which isn't really good btw but it works for a low 60 horsie engine )

I noticed when our car radiator fan is spinning while the car is stationary, the hot air is actually reflected inside the engine bay and come out from the gap between the bonnet and grille. I think if we probably seal the intake, then performance should improve abit during traffic jam.

best is still to do a proper CAI even if you wanna do an open pod and heatshield that particular location

+ actually Eric teoh GC ald give u gooding solution, but to get better i add in UO ~ which is thicker than Eric GC, when install the effect really very minimal and u can't really feel it .... but once drive for awhile few weeks then u try take out the UO then u will supprisingly know that UO really does help ~



Nx add on will be the air-con compressor to my current UO to battery terminal ~ but not so soon ~ that day kena rob by licensed robber now poor jor ~ ....
By the way  i don't know is the TB cleaning effect or the BHP at SS14's fuel gooding, my FC damn gooding town drive can get 312km per tank of 22.28L~ (not to mention RON97)14km/L.. my car never have that gooding FC when dribe in town~
