I also faced the same issue for 风云直播, but there are other China streaming site that performed better like Tudou, PPTV, etc. Previously I used Azdrama too but now i changed to a different source which is better to watch those missed HK episode drama. I used for Unifi VIP 5 (home) and maxis (outside).

Im planning to cancel my Astro. But I need the same HD channels for movies, documentaries and sports. I also want to be able to download latest movies or serials from the internet in HD. I want something that's easy to operate and allows me to get all the Astro channels plus any other foreign channels. I will be installing a home fibre internet (either Maxis or Unifi). I prefer English channels. Not interested in Chinese, Malay or Indian channels.

Please advice what my options are. Money is not an issue as long as im getting a much better deal compared to Astro. What is this Skybox thingy?

Check out my sig and try it for a week free.
You wont be disappointed for sure
1) Do we get these channels through live streaming or pre-recorded?
2) Are these HD channels or normal channels?
3) What kind of internet speeds to we need to get un-interrupted viewing?
4) Does it need to come through my laptop first before going to the TV? How does it work?
5) My current TV is a 42 inch LED. Will I get full clarity for this size of TV?

Answers:
1. These are LIVE channels
2. Close to HD quality
3. Anything above 1mbps should do it
4. No - if you have an android box or AppleTV2 jailbroken - you can install XBMC and the box connects directly to your TV
5. Of course - been watching from this almost a month and since I prefer UK TV more it fulfils my needs

Try it out and register - 1 week free anyway
I am on the web and xbmc UK package - cheap and happy with it

Hi there,

it seem MK808 is a good solution for me.

Is CNN,AEC, History, Geographical channel available?

My parent were their biggest fans, without them, is hard to move abroad.

TQ

You might also wants to consider a MiniX. Click my siggy. It has more USB ports, built in NIC(very critical...usually Android stick wifi reception not so good) and can passthrough digital audio to your AVR in future. It's total one-stop solution, IMO.
