Hi all, let's just discuss anything about the Peugeot 208 here. Regardless a owner or not (i am one proud owner though), kindly share your thoughts or questions here.
Let me just start by sharing my thoughts after driving the car for merely 2 weeks now:
- yes, the car is a little jerky when changing gear, by a little i mean it's noticeable if you pay attention
- i've gotten so much compliments for the car (can't say i'm not happy)
- the glove box is indeed quite useless, so does the design of the armrest
- the air condition for the glove box is quite cool but redundant
- yes, it is a really fun car to drive, handling is there too!
However there is an issue that i am currently facing here:
- the fuel consumption so far is considerably high, got the car from the Salesman with a full tank but the full tank didn't even last me for a week. Achieved only around 350+km when the indicator is reaching near the red lines
- also according to the driver's manual, the car has this 'stop start' technology where the engine will stop during traffic jam (when your car isn't moving) or while waiting for red light. The ECO light will turn on for a while when it's activated, but i don't see it??
- whatever it is, i am really worried about the fuel consumption. it's ridiculous to have a car that last me less than 400km for 50litres of fuel
will update again soon. Hope to hear from you guys!
happy midweek.
cheers,
Wil

I've actually gotten > 600km from the full tank before. Drove fast (120-160km/h) but it was long distance with smooth acceleration and no sudden braking.
My 208 now has about 2.6k km on the odo; just went for inspection today.

i didn't calculate distance per full tank, but both the onboard diagnostic computer and my manual calculation are averaging at 7.8 to 8L per 100kms
