Hi all, let's just discuss anything about the Peugeot 208 here. Regardless a owner or not (i am one proud owner though), kindly share your thoughts or questions here.

Let me just start by sharing my thoughts after driving the car for merely 2 weeks now:

- yes, the car is a little jerky when changing gear, by a little i mean it's noticeable if you pay attention
- i've gotten so much compliments for the car (can't say i'm not happy)
- the glove box is indeed quite useless, so does the design of the armrest
- the air condition for the glove box is quite cool but redundant
- yes, it is a really fun car to drive, handling is there too!

However there is an issue that i am currently facing here:

- the fuel consumption so far is considerably high, got the car from the Salesman with a full tank but the full tank didn't even last me for a week. Achieved only around 350+km when the indicator is reaching near the red lines

- also according to the driver's manual, the car has this 'stop start' technology where the engine will stop during traffic jam (when your car isn't moving) or while waiting for red light. The ECO light will turn on for a while when it's activated, but i don't see it??

- whatever it is, i am really worried about the fuel consumption. it's ridiculous to have a car that last me less than 400km for 50litres of fuel

will update again soon. Hope to hear from you guys!

happy midweek.

cheers,
Wil

your 1st pug car? dont be surprise with the glove box size. even big 508 have useless glove box. pug car suffer from this situation due to changing left to right driving position (europe to asia).
the car is still new right? wait til 2nd service...usually the fc getting better.
regarding the owners manual, the manual is printed worldwide..some of the spec mentioned is not available in your car (or our country).

The manual that came with our 208 isn't "localized" to the model that's selling in Msia.
Do take note that our 208 do not have some of the features mentioned in the manual, such as the cornering lamp, Stop Start, ECO, etc.

As for the glove box, I believe Peugeot & Citroen is taking short cuts and being lazy not to redesign some parts of the car for the RHD models. Just take a look at the lever to pop open the hood, the handbrake position, etc.

If i'm not wrong , the LHD peugeots/Citroens do not have the fuse box in the glove compartment.

Other than that, no complain about the car. Acceptable FC.

ts sure the tank is full? try fill it up yourself and test it again. sometimes even rm50 can look like full based on indicator.

I've actually gotten > 600km from the full tank before. Drove fast (120-160km/h) but it was long distance with smooth acceleration and no sudden braking.

My 208 now has about 2.6k km on the odo; just went for inspection today.

Hi all,

thanks for the feedback and participation so far. Sorry can't reply on every replies cuz working at the moment.

anyway i've pumped full tank on last Sunday, will see how it goes.

nope i don't usually accelerate in a quick manner, quite gentle i'd say. and i am certainly not lying about the current FC of my pug.

Cheers.

New car normally will not have good FC, wait after 1st service. After engine oil changed, FC will improve. So does my 408T.
I tested 208 before, indeed it is a good fun to drive car. I would have got this babe if I need to get a 2nd car.

i didn't calculate distance per full tank, but both the onboard diagnostic computer and my manual calculation are averaging at 7.8 to 8L per 100kms

208 has great steering but the pick up on 4 speed ain't so nice.

At least back space nicer than Fiesta.

And I like the display...
