I've got a few questions on the Lenovo Y500 GT750M SLI.
1. The stock notebook comes with 8GB RAM in a single stick, so upgrading to 16GB by adding in an additional compatible RAM later shouldn't be a problem, right? Anyone done this with their Y500?
2. From the Lenovo flyer, the Y500(59-378187) is shown as equipped with a 120W adapter, but I also noticed some sellers selling the notebook with an additional 170W adapter as well (basically a 120W and 170W adapter). Shouldn't the stock Lenovo Y500 come with the 170W adapter as its running 2 GPUs? Any advantages or disadvantages?
3. What is the screen resolution? 1920x1080?

show that it still cannot play fluently some games on ultra.

according to forum from US user of y510, optimus function only when SLI is disabled... means that if no external GC in ultrabay slot, then only optimus can function.. if external gc insert, then optimus disable, SLI enabled.. 

Any y500 owners here did a clean win 8 installation on their mSATA SSD?

I want to know the simplest method to do a clean wins 8 installation on the SSD without compromising my HDD and stuffs. Basically, I just want it to be hassle free and hopefully won't mess up my partitions :\
There's this method that requires an original Wins 8 ISO but I can't seem to find any on the net. It's either Pro or Enterprise

what the smallest SSD can we install on Y500 ? without removing HDD

which better whether adding the 500gb HDD 7200rpm or mSATA SSD 120/128gb on Y500 for better performance ?

anyone knows whether the  y500 can switch the GPU manually through nvidia setting as in y410p? or the external gpu will run automatically when plugged in?

plextor msata can read/write at 500mb/s, but the performance on y400 only get read speeds around 270 mb/s. And write speeds are around 180 mb/s.
Does this means msata doesnt perform to its best?
and y410p's m.2 Sata will have a much higher speed? will it worth the wait?

I'm already using it since it launched in Malaysia, on that time even 7XXM isn't release yet.
I'm curious of raw power of 755M in SLI configuration. Since it is something new unlike 750M. Besides that I think 750M is not worth to get because if you manage to over clock 650M it is almost the same since 750M is a higher clocked 650M with additional Boost 2.0. If not mistaken Lenovo will locked boost like what they did on first Y500/Y400 with 650M.

is there any bios that can enabled it for y400/y500?

One of the GT750m reach 92c is high. Probably the ultrabay gpu fans mulfunctions?
