if you compare with MSI gt70, the only reason why the msi is better is becoz its fully customizable hardware. Asus is stuck with their silly stealth design, maintenance for the laptop is lousy because to access the hardware need to remove alot of screws and stuff.

the y500 is affordable strong competitor for other high end gaming laptops out there.
Y500/510 cooling system is better than MSI gt70? Its no comparison. Y500/510's cooling, while decent, are not up to the standard of Asus/MSI/AW etc brand gaming laptop.
