Ur keyboard protector is blocking the heat dissipation and airflow.  laugh.gif
Make sure u dont game on the bed and dont block the ventilation.  tongue.gif
Use external keyboard/ cooling pad/ table fan, maintainance service, throttle stop to disable turbo boot to improve cooling during hardcore gaming.  smile.gif

keyboard protector block the heat dissipation & airflow!!?? shocking.gif

i never use my Y400 on the bed..always on table & those readings i got when i play using :
-MEDIUM setting,
-on mouse,
-U2 cooler pad (2 fan),
-in air conditioning room (~24 degree) rclxub.gif

How old is ur laptop? Could it be dust blocking the air flow? I'd normally suck em out with the vacuum cleaner see if it works. If not open em up to clean. Best if u could apply thermal paste those ultra gd quality typem
*
hurmmm..around 5 months laa..bought on April blush.gif
maybe i need to service my laptop, clean all the dust & reapply thermal paste nod.gif

thanks for your suggestion notworthy.gif

how's the performance so far sir?
thought of buying + upgrade da ram to 16gb + ssd..
*
i play few games on high setting, so far no lag what-so-ever~
only on Far Cry 3 (last 2 days) the temperature rise to 100 degree Celsius..
maybe it is time to service my Y400 sweat.gif

some of the game that i played :
-Left 4 Dead series,
-Battlefield series,
-Call Of Duty series,
-Sniper Elite V2,
-Far Cry 3,
-Remember Us,
-Alan Wake,
-etc~

btw, i only upgrade RAM to 8GB (high performance)..else still stock hardware smile.gif
16GB RAM + SSD definitely increase laptop performance & loading time thumbup.gif

Even you send them to Service Center, you won't get high quality TIM and Thermal Pads, the only way is to DIY. In other words, still the same.

hurm..i might send it to my technician, he know all about PC & laptop biggrin.gif
btw, which Thermal Paste & Thermal Pads would u recommend?

sometime i feel like i7 quad-core + 8gb 1600mhz ram on my Y400 still not enough laa..
because some applications still lag & still can't handle multi-tasking efficiently..
sometimes application will stop responding (not responding) if i open too many application (not so heavy application).. sweat.gif

i clean my Y400 every night before shutdown, using Advance SystemCare Ultimate but still not so many difference unsure.gif

it's not loading/booting time because i know those related to my HDD..
i don't have problem with speed..just not very satisfied with the multi-tasking capability.. sad.gif sad.gif

am i the only one who feel like this doh.gif doh.gif

i tried using both the jbl and my logitech, both shaky.
i think it's the song effect, not your hardware effect.
i see...
i don't think it would void your warranty..
*
if not void, ok laa thumbup.gif
