there is a slight difference in this sense.

U say u bought in 1993 when Puchong was not fit for humans to stay.

In 2004 - ten years later, Puchong was already very much transformed.  Pusat Bandar Puchong, IOI Mall and Bandar Puteri Puchong was starting to take shape.

In 2008 - 14-years later, It was already totally transformed and considered to be overpriced already

Now come to Cyberjaya - mooted by TDM in 1998 / 99 as part of his Master Plan for South

Now 14-years later, people are still having doubts over Cyberjaya

Still a dead township after dark

Hardly any places to eat / hangout

I could be wrong but in comparison to Puchong, after 14-years of development, its miles different

But some ppl prefer the quiet life
*
The comparison is off. The property scene has only started in 09/10 for Cyber. So the 14 years later will be 2023. smile.gif

Hardly any place to eat? laugh.gif Means you are in no way familiar with Cyber. Or I just wonder how much food u can really stomach. laugh.gif

Btw, please stop lumping the big chaotic mess together with Cyber. Apple to orange comparison.

To each his own. You talk about Desa Park City, D'sara heights, Mont Kiara etc there will always be split votes.
Desa Park City- what? It is in Kepong and always so jam. D'sara Height- what not gated and they are super expensive?!! For a link house there I prefer to buy 2 SMD in Rawang. Mont Kiara- crazy?!! Vacancies is so high and price has stagnated. Besides that it is so high density and jam. Note that some points are valid, some are personal choices, some are jealous if others can own a piece and some Re sour grapes who have missed out. You can see all these in the forum here.

the SA for Pangea (don't know how to spell) said can, many MNC, Call Centre and MMU students and staff

Plenty of demand for Studio as many older apartments are quite run down, etc

Good to have many negative comments, the more the better, the more the less flipper.

Anyway to us, many of these comments are trying to compare time, location, $ As simple as like comparing Samsung & Apple.

Also, many of these comments are common issues not only to Cyberjaya.

Like, Buy. Else, stay away. Thats it.

Haters will always hate. tongue.gif

They spend time so much focusing on something they disliked and spilling out something from their arse and called them facts. laugh.gif I'm glad Cyber is attracting so much attention though.

i'm happy for u if u found your winning formula. there are obviously easier targets out there to make money, no one is disputing that

my point is cyber will never be attractive to everyone. it will never be another puchong and never will. let's keep it that way
*
My god. I wish Cyber would never turn into that kind of nightmare.

I am literally grew up around cyber since MMU first day (one of the pioneer project last time )
Graduated from cyber
Work at cyber (one of the company who jv with cyberview last timr). ground experience..not pure speculation

So literally i spent my life at cyber. Im not investor coz im a bit late to join d party here.
What u were saying again? U bet? Ok pls stay at cyber few days.. laugh.gif

20years on(around)..can u pleaseeeee suggest me why no of population doesnt grew up so much?
😊

I welcome more ppl to stay at cyber. And i believe it will. Can see la nowadays more car altho not as bad as sunway or damansara.
Im not against cyber. Lol why i have to hate cyber coz i grew up and still working at cyber. Hahahah.

One thing i came up with the number is..it is just doesnt make sense for people to buy small unit for own stay. 500sqft is just very small for family of 3 or 4..and it is extremely overprice for me for almost half a million
500k can get decent service aptment elsewhere (suria residence @ bj an example but ini contoh saja)
*
I'm staying in Cyber now and I don't work in Cyber. Population doesn't grow? Do you still stay here and hang out in Cyber NOW? Before I move into Cyber I was there once in 2012, yes it was pretty dead that time as I can u turn my car whichever the way I want because there will not be any car in sight. laugh.gif

Now? The peak hours traffic is pretty annoying plus the crazy crowd during lunch and even dinner also hard to find parking. shakehead.gif Weekend is no doubt much quieter however even in restaurant there are many big groups of family dining there. Even one of my friends who WORK and STAY in cyber for 4 years asked me where all these people come from, lol. See? Staying here longer doesn't mean what you say is more accurate if you don't really observe the changes and based it on the facts as the past impressions sometimes will cloud someone from seeing things have changed.

Before I moved into Cyber literally everyone around me told me nothing to eat, no drinking place, whatever also don't have, blah blah blah. All these people are based on their PAST impressions and never really lived here or based on hearsay. And the terrible thing is that I believed them. rolleyes.gif What an utter fool I was. I'm all for neutral opinion but it is the fact people chose to say whatever they like just put down soemthing they dislike and ignoring the fact that is intolerable to me.

Doesn't make sense to buy small unit for ownstay? People bought the place probably because they like the environment in Cyber, the good concept, the low entry cost, working nearby, and the list goes on. A lot of the youngsters nowadays don't mind the small size as it is probably the most affordable new launch for them. Not everyone has a family of 3 or 4 though. Single life people who vow to never get married, married couple that has no intention of having children, the gay and lesbian, etc. So why wouldn't it make sense? There are all walks of life in this world and people just live the way they feel comfortable. I do think the soho/sofo/sovo or whatever will be oversupply in Cyber and no doubt there are a lot of flippers among them but no one knows how many exactly so to actually come out with a percentage is just... sweat.gif

On a serious note, mind to tell me which area with those crazy crowds? rclxub.gif

Shaftbury?
Terminal?
Domain?
Pelita/ Burger king?
Padi?
Nyonya valley?
Others...?

hmm.gif

i do take lunch every weekdays at cyberjaya..so far not thattt crazy level yet.
please enlighten me. must be some good food that i've failed to visit yet  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
Guess I'm seeing zombie walking alive then. rclxub.gif

Prima & Glomac are not crowded? Burger King & KFC are not super long queue? laugh.gif It's not hard to find parking in Glomac once it passes 12pm? Denial much? U must have 'lunch' at 11am or 3pm. laugh.gif

But I think it's obvious that U and I went to different places for lunch as I mostly go to the Chinese eateries (Prima & Glomac). A little suggestion though maybe pay a little attention when you pass by them.

Zhia Kitchen is full house once it hits between 12.10 ~ 12.15. People who came late WALK AWAYED because there are no more sitting places.

I really don't know what you are expecting though. Everything needs to turn into a big hot mess then only there is a crowd? No thanks, this is not Puchong or Cheras.

Anyway it's okay. I will take picture in the future just stop people talking out of their you know... bottom. laugh.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

Err denial of what? Didnt i say i literally grew up here so i really like this place.still working here. Aiyaaa u die2 want to project me as cyber hater is it? Lol

Nope. That area is just normal lunch hour rush..1245-2pm. U go putrajaya..kelanajaya..shah alam..kl..puchong..all these offices area sure la people will go out makan. Peak hour maa.
It's acceptable crowd given d fact number of choices around cyber is pretty ok.

And these area most of d time i can still eat lah.
Kfc full, got indonesian foods and mamak next door.
BK full..got nasi kandar

Aikssss

Btw u dont work in cyber but u have lunch at cyber ?
*
You are the one who said population doesn't grow, no crowd, etc. Now I told you where the crowd is then you said office areas of course people go out to eat, peak hour ma. Contradiction much? rolleyes.gif

I didn't project you as a hater but you are proving yourself to be one. And I guess that's the only thing you can hold against people. Keep picking on something you dislike or disagree with without proven facts or evidence and simply fabricating is not hatred? All you had is you spent your life there. Yeah, big deal. yawn.gif As if that would validate anything you said. rolleyes.gif

If you really spend your whole life in Cyber and can't see the changes then it is either you are completely numb or blind or truth be told... in denial. You yourself know better than anyone else what you are in denial for.

It is actually none of your business where I had my lunch but I think flexible working hours had probably never cross your mind. laugh.gif

Anyway, I shouldn't be wasting anymore of my breath on you and I don't want keep beating a dead horse. I just wish that lowyat could have an ignore button so that I can utilise it whenever it is necessary. smile.gif

just visit CBJ last 2 day. Spending 5 hour there. Disapponted.
CBJ look likes Putrajaya.

Very different if compare with PJ/Subang/Puchong/Damansara. Dunno why, just feel very diff.......mayb need more time to prove...
*
LOL! Putra looks so much better than Cyber IMHO and it's a plus point if it looks like Putra as the infra there is first rate in this country. Finger crossed it will never turn into the areas you mentioned. tongue.gif

Cyberjaya will never look "ong" like puchong.  Different concept. Cyberjaya will b a unique township once CCC is completed in 15 years time.

By 2018-2020, cyberjaya will b a busy town. To further make it looks world class like singapore,  the road surface condition must b improved and beatified.
*
Yes. The road condition is getting worse as the day goes by. sweat.gif

One negative comment on CBJ.  CBJ road system have far too many traffic lights.  No traffic jams but traffic light jam even on weekends!  That's why impatient drivers are beating the lights all the time.

In the next few years when population increase, it will be worst.
*
Yes. There are quite some dangerous drivers and they always assume there are no cars on the road which it isn't the case for Cyber nowadays. I think it is the biggest and probably the only problem for me living in Cyber.

However, if you know Cyber well enough then you would know the way to get around it as it is only Persiaran Multimedia with tons of traffic lights and the rest of the areas are fine.

QUOTE(webby88 @ Oct 26 2014, 09:37 AM)
I did my survey twice this year.  Last was 3 weeks ago.

Every time I drive there, always one question in my mind, who did the town planning with so many road intersections?
*
The good thing about it is that you can practically go anywhere from all directions as there usually won't be only one dedicated path. It's good that we have the alternatives. biggrin.gif

IOI resort city mall, D Pulze opening in 30 days time.
Centrus mall by Q1 2015. HSR KL - SGP stopover in Putrajaya Sentral (next to LKW), let's see what the cyberjaya haters complain or comment again.
Expect more capital appreciation to come especially landed prop!
*
Shopping mall and high speed rail? Doesn't help. As some experts already mentioned the most important is to bring in the Chu Yuk and the China dolls then the property price in Cyber will surely skyrocket. laugh.gif laugh.gif

when you have these said elements - china, vietname dolls and all, the place is filled with people like you, inviting all the ah neh and others to come to high class places like that.....making the place very "chap". you can invest your properties in Alor, Cheras or Puchong. smile.gif

it's ok..we don't need these in cyberjaya..we need elite and rich people in cbj...cbj will appreciate further without people like that around

It is good to see my frequent visit restaurant/ shop like Madam Kwan, Plan B, Zanmai , Rakuzen, Noodle shop (pan mee same like the one at curve), CB,  Daiso, Jaya Grocer, Yamaha, MPH, Mynews.com, Watson, ACE hardware etc are all here at DPulze. Not a karaoke, bowlinh or cinema person here. Well, Sing, Watch, Play, Read, Eat, Drink, Shop,.... not sure what else ppls want Cyberjaya to have more. It is a good start, progressive improvement is the key. No point to speculate now whether it can survive or not. Harlo, they have not even started, Lol.

Students at least have place to hang around and working group can conveniently shop for groceries or dine before heading back home without the hassle of jam or carpark. Thats all cyberian do not have before Dpluze is up. Gradually, people may accept it is now can live there and boost the night population. Those who want to move in and thinking to get a place at Cyberjaya, be it highend residences or pr1ma, low absolute small studio as 1st house can now reconsider it. No statistics to prove, in Malaysia once the mall is up, population and price will up. That's my generally observation. My2cent.
