QUOTE(Lester1987 @ Oct 20 2013, 09:34 PM)
In Tokyo now. This is my 2nd day in Japan... I find it quite suffering..

1. All their restaurant serve food without spoon. Only chopstick....
2. Those Japanese can hear me speaking Cantonese with my brother. But still keep speaking Japanese with us.
I don't understand it. I already tell them sorry I am not Japanese. Then order food by pointing at the picture on the menu. They still keep reply me in Japanese.. Why!!!!

3. I find that the people there are less friendly. They won't talk to foreigners. The only place that I find their people is a bit helpful is the JR station. Mayb bcoz I holder a green class JR pass?

Sifus please teach me how to integrate with them better or at least a easier way to get them help me.. I am finding this trip hard and very hard for me to enjoy and I still have 7 days to go cry.gif

You're the 1st saying Japanese less friendly here biggrin.gif In all my travel, Japanaese are the most friendly of all eventhough most of the time we are like chicken & duck talk smile.gif

QUOTE(zstan @ Dec 12 2013, 03:50 PM)
Tokyo Sky Tree

The price to go up it's not cheap though at ¥2000 for the lower deck. You have to pay a bit more to go on a higher deck which deems to have more things to see and play around.

user posted image

Perhaps they are better offers at the higher deck but when I am paying close to RM70 I was expecting more (Taipei 101 ~RM40, Seoul Namsan Tower ~RM30). I do apologise to any Japanese readers but I wouldn't recommend anybody visiting this place if they are dropping by Tokyo. There are just better alternatives out there in Tokyo and the money can be better spent elsewhere.

Well Still cheaper than Shanghai Financial Centre Tower. biggrin.gif rclxub.gif That Shanghai Tower already cost RMB150/pax or RM80. With the depreciation of Yen, It's not really expensive compare to those Toursit attrations in China.

Anyway, agreed from your pic that the view from the top really bad. biggrin.gif

Tokyo SkyTree got 2 Deck.  2000Yen just reach 350m only.  Need top up another 1000Yen to reach 450m.

Total will be 3000 Yen // RM 93

Which is more expensive than Shanghai Financial Tower Observation fee

Anyway, from the photo taken by zstan, really damn lousy view. Probably the location is slightly far away from Shinjuku & surrounding highrises areas. I think Tokyo Tower & Ropponggi Tower probably still having the best view of Tokyo skyline hmm.gif

Even Sydney tower view having superb skyline view of the small city biggrin.gif ..and yeah much cheaper bcos the A$63 ticket covered 4 other attrations i.e Sydney zoo, Aquariums (2) & Madam Taussud was museum smile.gif

Answer was

Yokan (羊羹)

Not expensive + elegant + perfect stuff eat together with Green Tea.  When you visiting a Japanese family. You gift Yokan.

Yokan sweet + Green tea bitter = excellent result
