Just no long before, rumour on Swansea defender also 1x million.

selling suarez now is a bloody mistake. its like telling "hey, we agree we are not there yet & no sooner getting to fight for CL places, well, we rather make money by selling this whiner who wants to go to madrid"

*off man. that's not the way we operate. no one is bigger than the club & so long he is under contract, his football legs is own by liverpool fc
*
So far, I see no one agree on selling,
but what the club can do, if the player handed a transfer request?

Forcing the player to honour the rest of contract?

------Gerrard----Coutinho-----
Enrique-Agger-Toure-Johnson
------Begovic--Reina------------

May be Reina can play as sweeper... or creative midfielder, wasn't it Reina has several goal assist before laugh.gif

Only if Reina is set to leave, if not why link with so many GK?

Liv weakness is not at keeper position.
Even Brad Jones deputy well (not superb but also not bad) when Reina is injured time last season.

Damn...some of his through passes in the highlights were exquisite. What I really like about him is that he's very calm in possession. Could see that during the times he featured for LFC. But I think needs to understand the English game pace more. Defensive midfielders and defenders close opponents down pretty rapidly and he's quite a slender lad..can get out-muscled easily and lose possession cheaply. Still only 19, definitely one for the future in LFC. Hope he gets more minutes to prove his worth next season.

I somehow agree on this.

EPL can be more physical, the moment, you try to turn inside out, tackle coming in already, and losing the ball in this situation, at midfield dangerous area, can lead to a goal score by opponent.

Sometimes, some young player can shine in U-21, or vs lower league team, but being out-muscled in EPL.

Even some top European players also find hard to shine in EPL, but perform brilliantly in other league (even in la-liga)

We are linked to another midfielder it seems, Jorginho form Verona.  hmm.gif

BR plans to play 3-5-2 next season?
*
3-5-2 may be a suicide tactic.

Little team play well with this kind of formation, and can leaking goal easy especially in EPL, as it may not able to cope with opponent attacking fullback. As nowadays, fullback in EPL a lot of time, doing lot of overlapping and attacking opponent.

Good defence is the priority if want to be at top.
The team at top of table often have good record of goal scored against.

3-5-2 against weaker team may be, but a big no against good team.

Isn't it last years Liv has poor record against top half of the team generally?

Wow. Now all the big boys going in for Ah Ben. sad.gif

Chelsea, Arse and Spurs.

Why Liv join in the race for Ben?

Liv has enough forward personnel already.
Suarez, Sturridge, Coutinho, Borini, Aspas.

Buy to sit on the bench?

Unless if Suarez is set for leaving, I do not see why Liv has the urgency to get another striker.

pepe will going back to his papa rafa on loan.
rafa is building napoli really well now.
*
Liv should sell instead of loan.
Loan doesn't make sense in term of financially.

Loan normally is good (for club and player) for young players that is developing but can't get enough first team experience.
The loan move give more chance to play and gain experience.
While Pepe is not "young". The lesser year the contract being run down (loan move), the least can recoup in transfer fee.

Should either keep or sell.

Barca wont buy Reina at least for now. Valdes will stay on another year.

Napoli is Reina's best chance to play 1st team football.
*
It is still not yet conclusive that Reina won't be first choice.

Even if Reina is second choice, he can provide good backup for Mignolet.
You never know when you need a good backup GK.

Club interest come first.
Either sell, recoup transfer fee or stay put to have 2 good GK.

Loan move won't save very much, and what if Mignolet is injured time?
Bare in mind, Brad Jones is not young anymore, older than Reina.

Unless Reina totally has no taker, then different story.
But since (as reported) Napoli already interested in Reina, why not strike a transfer deal, if BR has clear mind already Reina will be second choice.

Cut wages + recoup transfer fee is better the cut wages only.
Somemore, if a season old loan move, Reina getting older, contract lesser year, transfer fee won't be good then.
