I do like G-Series due to the design, but the current let down is they don't let u do self-maintenance is the turn-off point for me.
*

I thought you can actually dismantle the laptop to get access every hardware? (Though it is not an easy work at all...)

I'm more concern on the design aswell. since i would like to clean up the fans the vents and stuff instead of destroying and putting the laptop into risk everytime i do this~ . they should go for the modern design instead of the conventional thinking.
*

BTW, you sound like you always do this. I mean, dissemble the laptop and do some cleaning.
Mind to share some experience? biggrin.gif

There are some reasons for people to doubt the fact that G56JR is a ROG laptop. I follow any news regarding this model for 1 month already. Although it's a SO-CALLED ROG laptop, but:

1. The spec and the body seem like N56JR! (If you want me to rate, I will say 80%, because the internal structure is not yet confirmed.)

2. Where is the ASUS ROG "trademark" stealth (or military jet) design for ALMOST all ROG laptops? Why G56JR does not have this kind of design? I don't remember that ROG laptops have "plain" design like this, where is the shape which when almost every people look at it, they know it's ASUS ROG?

BTW, you know what... I'll probably aim for this, as the "brand" really foolishly attracts me.

The difference between N56JR and G56JR I know so far:
1. G56JR has IPS screen.
2. Blu-Ray Drive? (I need double confirm regarding this)
3. Red backlit adjustable keyboard and touchpad (this feature attracts me a lot!)
Anything else?
Just want to find out some reason that it's appropriate to spend additional RM200 for this.

Don't really expect that the internal hardware are user-accessible, but I'm prepared for it. Thanks to you guys for motivating me. biggrin.gif

Calm bro. I think that this will not be the case for G750 series of course. But for G4 / G5, I'm not so sure anymore...

mad.gif  vmad.gif they promised jet fighter!  mad.gif  vmad.gif

anyways i wonder if samurai can cut through alien ship or atleast dragons? lol~ where i believe atleast jet fighter can be on par with dragons and alien ship~

jet fighter with their guided missile against fire/ice/wind/earth dragons against alienship~ lol but samurai? seriously? where do samurai stand against a dragon and alienship!  shocking.gif  doh.gif
*

Well I actually like the way ASUS promote their ventilation system and the "slanted" palm rest within the jet fighter design.
However, I see none of these features in G56JR..... Guess have to wait for professional review. sad.gif

Oh ya, don't underrate samurai, they probably on par with dragons. XD

Apparently, yes.
Not sure about the internal structure though.

Asus - Nice cooling, maintenance not user-accessible.
Other brands (except Illegear I think): High temperature, maintenance user accessible.

What to do...?

Probably by the end of this year or next year.  Or not available at all. We all know Malaysian like to buy cheap stuff by online or black market or MSI rather than buying high end high quality from local asus.

True story, and sad : when i go to shops, most of the shops at lowyat, i don't even have the right to choose Asus. Those sellers keep directing me to MSI shxts or Dell alien. For example :
Me    : I'm looking for asus latest G series and its price.
sellers: Why asus, you see asus bla bla bla... come here MSI better, cheap and "the best"
Me    : I'm looking for asus...
sellers : see asus got bad service, you got check internet or not? and bla bla bla... MSI got G60 or shxxxt.. come..
Me    : Bye.

In my mind i really want to fk these ppl. your boss should. NOW YOU ALL KNOW WHY ASUS IN MALAYSIA ARE PITY.
NOTE: SERVICE SUCKS BECAUSE ALSO OF MALAYSIAN , THOSE WORKER ARE MALAYSIAN LAZY LIKE YOU NOT ASUS FAULT!!!

REMEMBER.

Weird marketing strategy.
But looks like that seller is honest. blink.gif

There is one more thing that always concerns me.
The difficulty of disassembly of Asus laptops.
Bad for beginners. But is probably an advantage for the cooling system (I think)...
