QUOTE(cybermick @ Jul 15 2013, 10:40 AM) Bought an ASUS G750, findings Playing SC2 on 1920x1080, but FPS is crappy, around 10-20fps. Is this normal for the latest high end gaming laptop? Tried upgrade the Nvidia driver but to no avail. Considering I am also using a 2nd generation Intel i7 on my desktop with GTX560, it performs much better than the G750 which comes with Haswell CPU and GTX770M GPU. Any tips? Thanks. gosh! ... you got window experience index? or any data to upload on here.. i am just curios of you're claim . and driver version you using thx

" not me but asus say... and if you still having problem call asus customer service they will assist

QUOTE(horns @ Jul 19 2013, 10:19 PM) - points: > same here; ugly; plastic feeling. + points: > maintenance is nice and easy to do. i have read that even if the cpu/ gpu looked like upgradable, you shall change the heat sink too. you might need to mod the bios to insert compatible vbios as well. what about heat/noise and Msi GT70 cpu/gpu throttle in stress test... x http://www.anandtech.com/show/7076/msi-gt7...-the-gtx-780m/6

QUOTE(horns @ Jul 21 2013, 10:53 AM) yeah but heat and noise are built-in for machines with high-end gaming specs. sorry but i have to say g75/750 are not in this range, always. the key difference between asus g-series and other brand is cooling (if you must put them in the same group). to achieve that asus decides to cut performance down. there are a number of plus points if you compared them side-by-side. let's face it: these days, asus g-series is overpriced. yeah it's positioned to be at the mid range; however the price point is not at the mid range. as for the throttling part, from what i've read, that particular unit at anandtech.com might have issues (they said bad paste job?). the results from that test were actually different from those posted by other sites. to me, i am happy with mid-range machines with good cooling (i don't game much now; i just need cpu upgrades). but it's not for many of us here. how about G750JH >? different level too come with Gtx780m and 3D ...llool x edit: dual silent cooling still silently cooling system (well i hope so) This post has been edited by Unseen83: Jul 21 2013, 03:57 PM
