may i know whats the difference for jetstream and normal

and also 2gb and 4gb

thanks

Higher VRAM is just if you are planning to play games above 1080p. A lot of games now are already pushing 2Gb @ 1080p btw. Jetstream is Gigabyte's aftermarket cooler. It's better than stock, but of course, it's a little more expensive.

so if i get the 4gb one..and then i can force my monitor support higher than 1920x1080 reso?
*
laugh.gif No. It means if you have a screen with a higher resolution than 1080p, the card will still be able to support it. If you try to run a 2Gb card on a game at 1440p and above, the fps will drop, making the game less smooth.

Yes, most full HD screens are 1080p.

so no point if i get the 4gb one? what if i wishes to play on my tv? it all depending on my tv? because i have my pc connected to my tv somehow it felt a bit laggy on the screen and its like kinda small

The 4Gb one will allow you to play most of new games at 1080p without problems. As I said, a few newer games already use up to 2Gb of VRAM and it will only get bigger when games with better graphics pop up. As for your Tv, I'm not sure since I have no way of telling what model or resolution it runs on. tongue.gif

hmm.gif normally I'd consider that as a 1080p screen, albeit a huge one. (40" Goddamn!) But that refresh rate might push a card higher than a normal 60hz screen...

Actually, your hypothesis is not fully accurate. It is true that some of the newer games e.g Crysis 3 consume more than 2GB memory at even 1080p according to this review by Guru3D, but this alone will not be the reason why the game isn't playable. Even with a 4GB VRAM, the GPU itself isn't strong enough for you to even play smoothly with all the details maxed out. So we shouldn't conclude that 4GB will simply allow you to play most games at 1080p lag free, when some games are so intensive that the GPU will simply run out of processing power, rather than become memory limited.

Even HardOCP concluded that there isn't any advantage between a 2GB and 4GB version of the GTX 670.

That too, but a 4Gb card will open up possibilities for future SLI. Wouldn't be much point doing an SLI setup if you're going to run up to a VRAM wall when using 2Gb cards.

Same scenario is replicated as well, as reviewed by HardOCP. You'll likely run out of GPU processing power before hitting the VRAM wall.

True we might never see a game which utilizes the full 4Gb anytime soon, but newer ones like Metro LL and Crysis at Ultra-Max settings have already gone beyond 2Gb VRAM. I wouldn't say it's cost effective seeing as we barely get any games which utilize it, but it does come in handy in the few games that do, and the number will only increase with newer games coming out.

so i guess 2gb would be the best choice i supposed..however what do you all think bout the power supply? good enough? need any cooling system or anything else to add on?

if i were to do SLi in the future, can my mobo support this card? looks huge and gigantic
*
Iinm, the p8p67 supports x8/x8 SLI. As for the card, it also depends on the cards itself, reference cards or those close to it should do fine, bigger ones.... hmm.gif not sure about those.
