I notice that the trailer almost just develop from scratch compare to the 2011 trailer which almost looks like a full product. The atk command as well as the HP bar seem very different compare to this trailer back in 2011
It make me think that Sony has paid Nomura *insert amount of $$* to make Versus 13 become PS4 exclusive/launch title
They could very well have 2 versions of the game running right now. One for the PS4 and one still for the PS3. Under the hood, they're different but they should at least play the same.
Versus 13... well XV now, is not a PS4 exclusive nor will it be a launch title.
Huh? It's exclusively for PlayStation only right? FFXV? Did they ever says its on XBox? II mean ps3 is still considered as Sony product though..
FFXV = Announced for PS4, coming to PS3 as well. Square Enix has not announce FFXV for any other platforms yet, they'll probably have some news today. FFXIV = On consoles, it is exclusive to PS3 and PS4. The PC will still get FFXIV as usual, but the 360 or Xbone does NOT get FFXIV... for now at least.
Just remember, on a third-party's point of view - nothing is really exclusive these days.
How about KH3? That one confirmed not PS4 exclusive right?
Square Enix has not said whether it'll be an exclusive, but just assume it'll be multiplatform regardless.
For all you know, Square Enix might just release Kingdom Hearts 1.5 and the-obviously-coming 2.5 HD on the 360 as well. KH1.5 is for now of course exclusive to the PS3.

Square Enix is being somewhat coy about FFXV coming to the PS3 as well. They now say that Lightning Returns FFXIII will be the last Final Fantasy title for current-gen consoles.
This means that FFXV won't be coming to the PS3 after all. It also means they just silently cancelled the entire Versus XIII for PS3 without anyone noticing.
Within the company, about to one to two years after Versus XIII was announced, we had a discussion about—because of the scale of the game—if it would be appropriate to make it XV. So we had this discussion for several years, and about two years ago, when we started hearing about next-generation consoles, we officially confirmed to make it XV. And about a year ago, we decided that all the development would shift to next-generation consoles.
They never said shit about making Versus into XV 2 years ago lol. They just said "be paitent for the good news".
On the hindsight, I hope they hadn't scrapped the feature to control cutscenes... or so Nomura said before -
QUOTE
Final Fantasy Versus XIII is going one step further and will let players control characters in every cutscene in the game. Tetsuya Nomura says it was important for players to never feel like they have to stop playing.
The event scenes, according to Famitsu, are the same quality as pre-rendered movies, but they are rendered in real time. Nomura attributes this to little difference between the high quality and low quality models.
The exception is hair, which is more detailed in high quality models. Nomura says events will be tied to a new system, which Nomura believes has never been done before. He did not give any details to Famitsu.
Series director Tetsuya Nomura wants to make Final Fantasy 15 more dynamic. That includes an increased focus on quick action, and an attempt to keep the player in control at all times--even during the cutscenes.
"We wanted to create like an action-based FF this time because we wanted to create a dynamic feeling between the story and the game itself," Nomura told Final Fantasy News (via Nova Crystallis). "Of course, we are going to put many FF elements into it, because otherwise there is no point calling Final Fantasy XV. Naturally, we still think we should have some old school FF feeling to the game."
Part of that dynamism includes retaining a goal that he had made two years ago, in regards to Final Fantasy Versus 13. Nomura told Japanese magazine Famitsu (via Siliconera) in 2011 that you'd still be in control of your characters during cutscenes. He hasn't forgotten that commitment, and it's made the jump to Final Fantasy 15--though he's hedging his bets.
"I would like to achieve that as much as I can," he said. "Our goal is to ensure that the player never actually stops playing. This is the reason behind it and it will be great if we can achieve that."
My concerns for this feature are at least somewhat nullified now. Good that he remembers what he said.
Seeing Tetsuya Nomura as director of this game, I wonder will the plot be confusing as Kingdom Hearts .___.''
Uhm... I don't think the previous games under Nomura's belt being confusing is because of Nomura himself, but rather Kazushige Nojima instead. Nojima wrote KH (and will be writing for XV), not Nomura.
2011 UI is way too FFXIII-ish. Too techno looking. Anyways, an Audi... really? Hopefully there are other cars in the game. The game does seem a little more slower in pace though, not a bad thing I think. Late 2015 release seems like a possibility, hopefully.
P.S Prompto is voiced by Natsu Dragneel's Tetsuya Kakihara.

Here's hoping they haven't toned down the fast paced and flashy gameplay that was shown in the E3 2013 trailer. Also notice that Noctis only has 1 weapon in the TGS 2014 trailer as opposed to multiple in last year's trailer.
Assumption is that the TGS 2014 trailer takes part quite early in the game.
Hopefully it's all fixed when the game releases, no more excuses. Hand animating mouth movements are significantly a lot more easier than in the PS2 days.
If the battle is action based, I hope everything can be dodge just like Kingdom's Heart, not fix damage deal by Bosses (which i didn't expect FFXIII to still act in that manners)
There's dodging, watch the trailers again. Movement is not bounded within invincible walls, so yes that means everything (within logical sense) can be dodged.
