I recently bought a 9.7" Teclast P98 64bit Tablet with 4G LTE at around RM950. It has almost every feature that a good, high end tablet should have including good battery life, zippy fast octa-core processor running on Android 5.0, good GPS and WIFI connection, reasonable sound quality and a beautiful IPS Retina screen which is as good as Ipad.

I have used it for a week and am pleased with the result so far. It's good for watching movies, reading ebooks and surfing the internet. I don't know about games as I'm not into games. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this tablet to anyone whose budget is below RM1,000.

I hope this feedback helps those who are intending to buy a sub-RM1,000 but quality tablet.

Does it dualboot? Import sets (AP) or local Teclast Malaysia warranty?
*
Ap set and no dual boot - only running on Android 5.0 . My foremost usage is for surfing the internet, presentation, watching movies and reading magazines/ebooks and occasionally GPS on sygic. Therefore LTE, good WIFI/GPS connection and sharp, responsive screen quality are my most important criteria. On my Maxis sim card, internet surfing can zip to more than 35mbps (certain areas more than 50mbps) on LTE.
