1. Brand - Mainstream brand or non mainstream brand. Its ok
2. Budget - below RM1k
3. Specs.
4. What you need in the tablet - games, video, youtube, MUST HAVE wifi
5. Size - 7inch and above

Any suggestion? Thinking to get one for my kid
*
the options available to you is very wide. from Asus to Samsung to Lenovo to non mainstream like Telcast. how old is your kid? i advise that you refine your requirements for more suitable choice. below are some examples...

- Xiaomi Mi Pad 2
7.9 inches, 1536 x 2048
Intel Atom X5-Z8500
16/64 GB, 2 GB RAM
Li-Po 6700 mAh battery

- Xiaomi Mi Pad 7.9"
7.9 inches, 1536 x 2048
Nvidia Tegra K1
16/64 GB, 2 GB RAM
Li-Po 6700 mAh battery

- Teclast X98 Plus
9.7 inches, 1536 x 2048
Intel Atom X5-Z8300
64 GB, 4 GB RAM
Li-Po 8000 mAh battery

things like big battery life and good CPU for gaming are good criteria. all tablets nowadays comes with Wifi.

I wonder why know one really create or use a tablet for selfie ? front facing camera with auto focus.
Even the most high end tablet 7 above also doesn't have autofocus Front Facing Camera ?

Tablet was created for more productivity due to its large screen estate. Using tablet for selfies or taking pictures wasn't a trend due to its large size in which will cause shaky or blur images.

Btw, face detection is a rather common feature in many android native camera apps. Eg: you open front facing camera, it detects a face, then it will show a circle indicating it is focusing on the user's face.

So every tablet also have face detection ? problem is 5mp is really poor. It's just like a 2mp with poor low light non auto focus camera.
I wonder why some manufacturer didn't follow oppo style of turning the back to front camera for tablet ? Copyright ?

RM999 is after rebate or before?

this tablet has good resolution, screen size, good CPU, storage expansion, and speaker location.
worrisome RAM (only 2gb), small battery,

please read up review on this.

on another note,
there is a new samsung tablet that has Spen and it looks promising. but still need to see a review on this first.

Just tried, the final price is RM699, after applied ACER300 coupon.

Noted on your concerns and recommendation. Does any other tablet falls at this price range, +/-RM699 with almost or better performance compare to this Acer? I don't do a lot of gaming, just occasionally. Thanks.

Plan to buy a gaming tablet. Was considering ASUS Zenpad 8.0 Z380KL, is that worth? Heard that Asus built in system is terrible.

Btw, is that Xiaomi Mi Pad not available anymore? Thanks!

Ps: Just going to avoid intel atom processor tab since it not supports most of the games in market.
