Prefer branded or not?

No particular brand. As long as it serves the purpose and not premium tablet. Many thanks in advance.

Hi all. Looking for a cheap tablet smaller and lighter than 10" for reading documents, movies and web browsing. Preferably a cheap one below 500. Any recommendations?
How's the new acer a1?

If you need Bluetooth, the Vido Mini S/Mini One is good too.

RockChip RK3188, 1GB RAM (2GB for the Mini One), 8GB Storage (16GB for the Mini One), dual camera, Bluetooth.

Price starts from RM480 for the Mini S, RM570 for the Mini One

If you want movie, then 7". otherwise, for book reading and web browsing an 8" would be better.

7" = 16:9 screen ratio, while 8" = 4:3, much more friendlier for book reading.

If you want a good 8", then can consider the Vido N80RK or the Vido Mini S.

Dear All Sifu,

What is the comment about the Onda v813 Quad Core VS N80RK??
Which one is better?
Is the retina display play well at display?
How about the CPU performance between these 2 tablets?

Thank you~~~

For that price, you may want to consider the Asus Fonepad hmm.gif

Only issue is that it isn't a quad core..

or the Lenovo A3000.. MediaTek quad core, 8GB storage (expandable via MicroSD), dual SIM, 7". RM799 though.

Or the Nexus7 3G hmm.gif

Retina is good, but gaming performance may suffer.

Between the Onda and the Vido, the Vido has better CPU performance, but the Onda has better GPU performance.

Do you prefer gaming or not?

this tablet mainly for my wife use, for youtube streaming or surf web.... so gaming maybe for children use....
Not for heavy gaming...
In term of CPU performance, will it be lack during web surf with heavy loading page on Onda?
Is the CPU performance for both have big difference?
Currently also looking for the spec of Onda 972, which is 9.7 inch...
