Petron partners with BookDoc in reward programme

https://www.theedgemarkets.com/article/petr...eward-programme

KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 15): Petron Malaysia Refining & Marketing Bhd is teaming up with online healthcare platform BookDoc to be the latter’s Activ Reward partner.

In a joint statement today, both parties said for a daily average of 10,000 steps a month, BookDoc users can redeem 450 Petron Miles points (equivalent to RM5).

They said users are required to pump at least RM50 at any Petron station to claim the points.

...

BookDoc’s Activ rewards its users according to their average daily steps. It is able to sync with other health applications such as Apple Health, Samsung Health, Google Fit, Fitbit, and Garmin, enabling users to keep track of their daily exercise and get rewarded accordingly.

I have 2 cards for fuel in my wallet, one is Bonus Link and another is Kad Mesra.

Bonus Link does give me the solid points so I can redeem for solid items that the point system allows.

As for Kad Mesra, I didnt have any idea what will be the privillege as a Petronas user, so I browsed the Mesra website. I am quite disappointed. Besides the grand prize winning, there is nothing that is as practical as the system Bonus Link is adopting. Or am i actually missing anything good about KadMesra?

Redeem at Shell pump 100 points = RM1.
Redeem at Petronas pump 100 Points = RM1.

Pump Petronas - 3 points per litre.
Pump Shell - 1 point per litre (+ monthly bonus)

I like to use points to exchange fuel.
For Bonuslink, each litre purchased = 1 Bonuslink point. 100 Bonuslink point =RM 1.
For Mesra, each litre purchased = 3 Mesra point. 100 Mesra point = RM 1.

So, it's a no brainer to me on which brand of fuel to purchase to accumulate more points (to exchange fuel).

Top it off with the availability of just using the Mesra card to swipe at the fuel pump to use all the points up to the last cent
without going to the counter, heaven......

Personally I prefer Petron Miles.

Redeem in Petron 3000 points = RM45, which is ~67 points = RM1.
Pump Petron - 2 points per litre.

TQVM for enlightening me. I have been using Kad Mesra for quite a while actually. And wondering how would the points that I have collected would benefit me. Thanks again. Otherwise, I will be switching back to Shell.

or you can use petronas' own ewallet app (Setel) to pay for petronas.

https://www.setel.my/mesra-redeem

link mesra card into the app, can earn and redeem points without physical mesra card.

the app itself stores the $ and triggers the pump.

after pump, get email receipt too.

Mesra Card with points is as good as prepaid card. You can use it to purchase or redeem any thing at any stations.

Since the last post on the IKEA card thread was from January, I decided to ask here.
How long did you guys wait before getting a permanent IKEA card sent to you?

Already converted to permanent by purchasing till RM200+ more than two months ago but still not received my loyalty card yet...

I remember reading that it takes about 8 weeks on their members login website, a certain terms and condition page, but the link just jumps to homepage instead of displaying that particular info.

Thanks for the tip!
I didn't know you could just request for it at their customer service, thought I had to patiently wait for it to be snail mailed.
