oh... how's the points accumulated in smiles? can be transferred? means mobil/esso also will be using this new petron miles card?
*
Once you activate the new Petron miles card, within 2 weeks, the point from your old Smiles card will be transferred to Petron miles card. Mobil and Esso will use the new Petron miles card.

They will send the new Petron miles card to your address. Did you register your address to the old Smiles card?

i can't remember, i think i have write down when i apply smile.
they direct send in the card or need to call for request?
*
As for my case, I do not request for it. In fact, I do not know about the new Petron miles card. They just send to my house. After reading all the brochure came together, then I just SMS to activate the card.

Did you guys get an acknowledgement reply SMS from Petron after you sent this activation SMS?
*
Yes. I got SMS confirmation. I have my point transferred to the new Petron card already. Have been using the new Petron card for >2 months, almost reach 3000 points to change for RM45 petrol.

instead of waiting, can we actually apply this petron card ourselves and then do the transfer of points from our smiles card to it?
*
I am not sure about this.

I am sure many are aware that most petrol companies do have loyalty cards.

petronas - Mesra Card
shell - Bonuslink
carltex - BCard
petron - smiles card

Question is; which provides the best bang for money ?

*
Definitely Petron miles card. RM1=collect 1 point. 3000 points=RM45 petrol. 1.5%!

Do we have TGV MovieClub in this topic? Have been using it for more than a year. Personally feel very good. The point collected equivalent to 10% rebate.

TGV MovieClub card points can only redeem in exact value.

Example you have RM9.00 in your TGV MovieClub card.
You can't buy a RM15 ticket and pay for RM6 balance with cash/CC. System cannot support. It's pretty stupid system to say the least.
*
But the points in TGV MovieClub equal to 10% cash back.
Personally I like the card a lot. thumbup.gif

Redeem at Shell pump 100 points = RM1.
Redeem at Petronas pump 100 Points = RM1.

Pump Petronas - 3 points per litre.
Pump Shell - 1 point per litre (+ monthly bonus)
*
Personally I prefer Petron Miles.

Redeem in Petron 3000 points = RM45, which is ~67 points = RM1.
Pump Petron - 2 points per litre.
