Ya lor. If u compare 30 years old house in subang jaya vs another 30 years old high rise, most likely the high rise will now look like shit and nobody wanna stay there. Landed ones people usually renovate to look like current styling if they can afford.

i think this is very much depends on the building management and the owner~~if the Management team and committee good + owner willing to pay for renovation then it should be jus fine~~

the apartment (used to be condo) i am staying is definitely more than 30 years old (approaching 40 maybe)...some serious repair and maintenance were conducted 5 (or is it 7) years ago... prices shot up...and ppl are buying~~it doesnt looks VERY nice~~but also not like the shit u mentioned~~ (NOTE: the 1 i am staying is NOT a low cost flat back in those days)

anyway...the problem is that...with so many renovation going around~~it is very noisy and annoying~~

agreed the pipes wont last more than 50 years. even USA biggest pipes producer (JM Eagle) only dare to guarantee up to 50 years ONLY.

compare to so many curi ayam producers in malaysia, i think the pipes can only last less than 50 years. so what happen if the sewage pipes burst in condo?
btw, is there any condo or apartment in malaysia over 50 years?

then what is the point to have freehold condo, can the condo lasted more than 99 years?

hahaha~~good quote~~
thats y ppl prefer to buy higher floor~~the shit will still flow down~~and u should have less smell and problem~~

I do agree that after a number or years~~the telephone wiring and even the water piping will have problems~~
it occurs in the apartment i am renting now~~but anyway if u can use something for 50 years~~what else do u still wan to complain~~just replace it!!!
