To have a developed sports industry, it has to start with the grassroots.
alot of questions can be ask and banter here.
ultimately, it's how the government and the sporting bodies want.
With not many chinese in the football sence, i don't think it's due to any racisms issues. It's a simple facts that footballer locally can't earn what their parents want them to.
if you ask why isn't there support in the local football, the reason is simple. nobody know who is playing in the teams. there isn't a "super star" to get peoples attention. there isn't enough effort to help mass audiences to know the players and the team. you can see alot of "EPL fans" . now ask urself, why do you support a team that is thousands of miles away then a local team? reasons... you know all the players and informations from those teams is easily accessable. Steps to build the local league is in place and going to the right direction. it takes time. Astro Arena a channel that show local sports is putting alot of efforts to get information across and there's certain impacts. fan bases in certain area increase and all.

i think the mentality of waiting for one central body to do everthing and blaming them for everthing is one root of the root cause.

putting all our eggs in one basket with the kind of basket we have will not take us anywhere.

instead of waiting to change the basket, why not we create other baskets to put some of our egss at the same time.

many countries got sicked of the central body and created a different league and body. (just like indonesia)
the root cause is money. without money, there's no industry.
FIFA doesn't allow any countries to have 2 governing bodies.
All this create a situation of where everyone accused everyone and the industry goes down hill from there. (look at hockey in india)
Mass Media need to promote the sports.
Imagine if all the mass media is covering "Malaysia League" with more contents then "BPL". it would be the time people start looking at the local soccer again.
Like i say, informations need to be accessible to everyone easily.

there's efforts putting into getting soccer across to more audiences right now from what i see. It would be slow but everything is in the pipeline.

i do not mean we have to create rival mother association. that is not right and has been proved to be counter destructive on many cases.

fam exclusive roles are to organize the league and handle the senior and age groups natonal teams.

that only need to be handled by one party but other parts need not be.

for instance grass root development. right now all our eggs on general thinking are on harimau muda basket. thats very limiting. there are no one medicine fits all in football development. eventhough harimau muda brings the best result atm, its crucial that other parties try other method as well.

for instace kelantan adopt japenese style. kedah try brazilian. sabah and sarawak try portoguese (see timor leste). in the end the best of this independent development pockets will create an almagm in the senior national team.

the fabric of our football stucture is very autonomous on it roots but it is strangly very centrally dependant. it should not be as we are not franchise system ala us. our football is not own by fam.

the same can be said about football marketing. the days where we all wait for press conference from wisma fam for list of stars for we to idolize are long over.

with the age social media we can take care of that ourselves. and it prove to be working. stadiums in johor and pahang always full at the back of fans initiative.

see how indie music scene developed and sustained and try to take that essence to create indie football fan scene. where one does it simply out of love , passion and sincirety without giving a damn about returns , glamour or mainstream glory.

macam taiwan juga melayu kahwin cina tapi taiwan lebih banyak dipengaruhi oleh cina.. geng korea pula percaya mereka asal dari mongolia yang ganas-ganas tu kahwin cina.. kalau tak kahwin dua-dua bangsa ni .. jadi malas dan tak maju-maju.. kau pergi negara cina.. rupa-rupanya diaorang jauh lebih pemalas dari cina malaysia.. dalam filem je nampak gempak, nampak rajin sungguh, skill gempak-gempak tapi realiti , cam geng korea, dalam kdrama nampak cantik je belaka, pergi jejak korea, semuanya terlampau sepet, jauh lebih sepet dari cina malaysia.. cina malaysia lagi cantik rupa dia dari geng korea

kesimpulan dia kita kena lebih banyak bergaul, bincang sama-sama, buat kerja sama-sama dan usaha sama-sama untuk berjaya, jangan dok salahkan orang lain je kerja dia.. sampai bila pun tak maju maju.. macam Adolf Hitler pernah cakap dulu.. kita hanya boleh keluar dari krisis ekonomi yang amat teruk jika semua mainkan peranan mereka masing-masing.. jangan anggap diri kita amat miskin, amat susah.. apabila kita terserempak mereka yang susah dimana-mana sahaja, terus tolong dia dengan apa jua yang termampu sebagai saudara senegara kita, jangan biarkan saudara kita mati kebuluran.. jumpa orang kurang ajar, ingat diri dia sudah hebat sangat dan cuba tindas saudara kita paling kurang bagi je penumbuk ke muka diaorang ni semua (adolf hitler punya cara pergi cari sampai ke lubang cacing lintah darat yahudi yang tindas bangsa jerman sampai diaorang jadi amat miskin, papa kedana.. tapi rasanya kita tak perlu sampai ke tahap macam ni)
