yeah hotel is 60-80 per room per night, cheap, nice hotel with basic needs and most importantly near to everything
and yes the driver is 350k per day, and the driver is quite young (late 20s) and very cool

3 pax. you 6 pax probably can divide more, especially with your driver.

Err.. You will be staying in Nusa Dua or Kuta? There is not much to visit around usa Dua because the place considered elite, many 5-6 stars hotels and resort there.

I think you meant Kuta. Kuta is a lot more happening at night and very near and easy access to shopping malls and beach.

You should go for neck and foot massage, a lot of massage center inn Kuta.

If you want to shop for souvenirs, i suggest you this place: 1) In Discovery Mall got one big shop called Keris Batik, you can buy premium batik, merchandises and branded good for an affordable prices.

2) Krisna. Way cheaper here for souvenirs goods.

3) Sukawati Market on the way to Kintamani. Please bargain here.

Also dont for get to stop at Tegallalang paddy field. Alternatively, you can stop at nicer paddy field (not so touristy) near Ubud.

will be staying at kuta the day i land there for 1 nite next day to nusa dua and 2nd last day will be staying there till the last day flight at 5pm. i got 2 days of free and easy wonder where should i explore sumore or any place i miss. Another thing when is wesak day for bali?Malaysia wesak day is on the 13th May (Tuesday)

Hi all, i'll be going to Bali in May and here is my proposed itinerary. Please feel free to give your opinions, let me know if I cramped too much places in those days cuz i'm not sure how long should I stay in each places. Thank you thank you in advance!

Day 1
- Arriving Bali around 8pm
- Will be staying at Legian area so maybe will look for our dinner there. (Restaurant suggestions??)

Day 2
- Breakfast at Legian area (suggestions??)
- Driver will be picking us up and headin to Ubud
- Denpasar
- Sukawati / Geneva Handicraft
- Lunch at Naughty Nuri's Warung
- Bedugul
- Tampak Siring
- Tegalalang
- Dinner at Bebel Bengil
- Back to hotel at Ubud

Day 3
- Breakfast at hotel
- Spending whole morning at hotel

Just came back from my 9-day trip to Bali and last day came down with Stomach Flu. Bali's food is overrated and expensive and our Chinese food is anytime 100 times better. Their grilled seafood is bland. Our Charsiew, SiewYok and Piglet is much better than their Babi guling or any pork dishes. Ayam Tulang Lunak MALIOBORO (Softly Chicken Bone) is good but expensive 1 small rice is rm4, 3 half small chicken, 1 tahu telor 1 mango salad 1 petai sambal costed us rm110.00. I can get better taste chicken in JB for half the price. Tried Warung Mades Kuta once and never return, cos Nasi Bali is precooked. Wahaha Pork ribs better than Nuri's both expensive.
The HardRockHotel buffet was suprising cheap, so after trying all the disappointing food, the Asian/International buffets were the saving grace. 2adults+1kid(eat free) cost us RP550000 for CNY(better food) and RM302000 on other days.
Places I find not worth going are Goa Gajah, Rice Fields, Ubud, Taman Ayun.
On the way back my son commented no more Bali for him. Kota Kinabalu and Sabah is a much better place.

If I can redo my trip:
I would only stay near Kuta Beach where there are many eating places and shops and near to airport and easy to travel to places.
Water sports at Benoa is expensive, 1 hour FlyingFish+bananaboat+donut for 2pax bargain from RP2160000 to RP1000000. Better to take a 1day 9hours cruise to Lembongan with 3 meals,unlimited snorkelling+bananaboat, better beaches etc
Would scout around for more Hotel Food.
Take the reviews from TripAdv with a pinch of salt.

hi guys, I'll be travelling on the coming weeks to bali, but unfortunately my flight reaches bali early in the morning like 1am =.=

so I booked tune hotel at legain which is not too far away from the airport, then I only start my trip the next day from there.

So now the problem is, I saw the taxi fair guide from various locations, specifically, from airport to legain will cost me about rp55k, is this figure reliable? any other hidden charges? late night? etc?

I'm just afraid of getting chopped by those local taxis in the airport.

Hi, I will be traveling to Bali, arriving on the 21st of February (1am), so I will be hiring a driver for my trip there in bali, for 21 to 23, I will head to Ubud and 23 - 25 back to Kuta before we leave for airport.

This beach in Bali is clean and beautiful and getting crowded. Go there b4 it deteriorate like Kuta Beach.
