i went there 4 months ago laugh.gif
maybe your pics made it look a lot nicer
you went there how many pax?
yeah hotel is 60-80 per room per night, cheap, nice hotel with basic needs and most importantly near to everything
and yes the driver is 350k per day, and the driver is quite young (late 20s) and very cool
*
3 pax. you 6 pax probably can divide more, especially with your driver. laugh.gif

thanks bro. I become instant millionaire! haha... anyway, I changed 5.3 million for 2 pax for days too. hopefully it's enough.

do you guys also know that if there's any place that we can use credit card to pay? Just to preserve some cash... thanks.
*
many places can be paid using credit cards unless you go for those small small warungs.

QUOTE(tehoice @ Feb 26 2014, 04:20 PM)
just came back from bali, it's super hot!!!

not gonna do a review on my itinerary, more or less everything we eat and places we go are quite similar I believe. but one place for meal in kuta I must strongly recommend is Bamboo Corner, this place is super cheap! it's even cheaper than our mamak stall here with so much of variety to choose from, if you need wifi connection while dining? go and buy something from the circle K opposite and get the password from them then you can use freely.

Also, my supir is super duper a nice man! charge reasonable rate or cheap rate. Not pushy type, he won't chase you, won't send you to any places that you don't want to go, won't bring you to buy stuff, won't show you face, won't give you any pressure.

He is literally a YES man, you want to go to the moon, he will bring you there, but of course he will suggest to you his tour experience and itinerary, where you should go first, what you need to see, which luwak coffee should you try (dirt cheap luwak coffee, oh gosh)

if you want to eat something and yet you don't know the address, or forget to make reservations, changes to your plan, no worries, he will make it happen by googling or map and bring you there.

I rate my supir 200%. I'm sorry that some forumers got some really poor drivers, but this supir is absolutely worth hiring, 200% PM me for info.

Edit: he speaks good english too, no language barrier.

cheap but not nice, at least for me. sweat.gif

Hi guys,

I'm going to bali on 4 to 6 April. 2 nights only on company trip. Flight,  food, hotel all covered. I'm not interested to buy bali crafts..maybe some normal tshirts, shoes & snacks along the way.

If I change 1 million rupiah (today's rate is about rm286), is it enough? Or 1.5 million?
*
more than enough.

Guys, I have a dilemma here.

I will be visiting bali on april and uluwatu will be one of the place to visit. Currently I am thinking to stay in Ayana hotel or anantara hotel in uluwatu.

Anantara Hotel
1. RM900++ with ocean front view

Ayana Hotel
1. RM900++ with only deluxe ocean view
2. Have priority for rock bar

I really hope to stay at a hotel one night with stunning ocean view of Indian ocean. Does anyone has any opinion on this hotel or any recommendation?
*
i'd rather stay at another place with ocean view.. uluwatu's monkey's are really over agressive. sweat.gif then again there might not be monkeys in the hotel compound..

Just FYI, the aggressive monkeys are not everywhere in Uluwatu, it is mostly at the Uluwatu temple. And there were absolutely no monkeys at Ayana. I didnt see any when i stayed there and i dont think there are any monkeys there.

QUOTE(pinacolada @ Mar 11 2014, 09:41 AM)
shakehead.gif have u ever been to ayana? how can u simply generalize uluwatu's monkeys as being aggressive just based on the monkeys at uluwatu temple. sigh.  doh.gif

didn't you read my last sentence? doh.gif

what? this u mean >> "then again there might not be monkeys in the hotel compound.."? just shows u dont really know about the hotel and u're not sure whether there are any monkeys at the hotel or not. correct me if i'm wrong.
*
yes i was not sure. hence 'might not be'. early morning don't need to be so snappy. unless you own shares in that hotel then i humbly apologise.

Hey guys,

need some advise from bali experts.

1. what we can do in Kuta Square & Jln Legian? (not a club lover)
2. Any recommendation on restaurant in Jimbaran? I heard Lie cafe is not bad
3. I will be visiting Danau Batur. Is there any restaurant that can have a fantastic view and nice food? I search online and everyone seems like having a bad review on foods there.
Thank you smile.gif
