I got this two bike in short time.... Suppose the original plan was to buy from the shop where i got my EMC from, but then when i tell them i am keen to get a Pinarello Paris from them. All i get from them is blank stare from them and "we will work something out for you and email back to you in short time" which till now i received nothing at all from them. I actually offered to pay deposit to them in order to get the item in but they turn my offer down. Pissed off with the way they treat me considering that i bought alot of stuff from them which give me the impression that they will take care of me well. So i just tell myself to move on to other lbs as they are not keen on my business.

After i looking around i end up with this
Scott Foil Team Issue

How it feel? It feel harsh which is normal for most aero oriented bike but not as bad compared to my alu emc. I can live with it. The bike position are way aggresive than my EMC or Ti bike as you can see the front part of the bike. So far my body are able to adapt to the the new position.

Groupset? DA 9000, shifting feels very light and clicky especially the big/small ring shifting as compared to my 5700 105 which draggy and need more force to shift the FD. The hoods were very comfy for my small hand and i dont need spacer anymore to adjust the lever reach.

Wheel? Originally came with a deep dish alu/carbon wheel, i ditch that option as i get further reduction in price of the already discounted price. Not to mention the wheels are heavy too. The wheel i got is by a custom wheelbuilder in Sydney (TWE wheels) which weights around 1250g. Quite pricey compared to OEM fulcrum/shimano wheels but life is short, so why not give custom wheels tat fit my citeria a try.

Second bike, Van Nicholas Astreues.

I got this as I read about a review about this bike in local bike magazine. Not to mention the dealer in my place gave me a good deal on the last year model frameset. The current model year frameset have internal wiring and BB86 bottom bracket which is dont really like it. I would prefer it to be more like a old school looking bicycle but with titanium.

I transfered my stuff (groupset, seatpost, stem, FR1 wheels, handlebars & etc) from my EMC bike to this. It really feel like riding a magic carpet or sorts, the frame just adsorb any vibration way much better than my Scott or my EMC. Not to mention Ti bike are build to last long. I used this when doing long distance riding.

I am itchy to buy new groupset to complement this Ti frame, was thinking about Red but cant find good deal around here. Any suggestion? Was looking into Campagnolo Chorus but some ppl tell me sram is better grouppo then campag icon_question.gif

If you are wondering, I still had the EMC frameset but not sure what to do with it. A friend of mind told me to build that bike with 105 parts and make it raceday bike.

sell your EMC frameset. get DA9000 for ur VN.
*
Yeah that what I am plan to do, not sure how much i gotta sell it?? Why u reckon i should get a DA9000 for VN? The upgrade part for 9000 DI2 should i choose to transfer my mech 9000 from scott to VN is fcuking expensive here.

Scott Foil, always a pretty good looking bike, oh well, which aero bike isn't? Just gotta live with the aggressive part tongue.gif

How much is it over there?

*wait, I take my words back, S5, not the prettiest
*
Around 4000 AUD with ori retail is 9k aud. Not sure how much it will cost in KH cycles. One reason i bought scott cos KH cycle support scott bike and if shit happend i can go there and ask for help. I am coming back to KL soon so that does make up my decision too. Just need OricaGreenedge kit and helmet to complete the look. icon_idea.gif

i assume u wanna sell that old 105 gruppo and get a new set. DA9000 would be nice since u already have DA9000 on the scott. interchangeability

Ah i see, just wondering if there good support of Shimano in KL? Apparently Sram is getting hold of Malaysia market more then Shimano as in i can access to sram stuff easily in LBS?

QUOTE(lilredridinghood @ Jun 25 2013, 01:30 PM)
EFFF!!!!! Why so cheap? 2012 bike? Even so? EFFF!!!!!
*
Depending how you look at it, that model i got is the current year model as the next year Scotts are not release yet. Around this time of the year most LBS in aussie will have clearance sale to clear current model for the incoming new releases from bike manufacturer.

How much does scott team issue cost in KL? Curious to know about it?

I am traveling back to KL from Australia tru Air asia. Any special rule in regards to shipping bicycle? I know they have special allocation for bicycle under "sports equipment" section.

Anyway i am considering thinking getting my bike boxed up but i not sure which one to get. I was considering this few choices:

-Good old cardboard box that came from manufacturer

-Scicon Sci Con Aero Comfort Plus V2.0

-Scicon AeroTech Evolution TSA

-Or some no bran hard case bag like scicon or bikeboxalan

I need to show the bikes customs in check counter so I could claim my GST refund.

Hope to hear from you guys, I do need to do few trip around with my bike by the way

I can say sram 2012 and DA9000 are good in their own way. Its more about preference to double tap or shifting the brake leaver icon_rolleyes.gif

4am is asking for trouble... if shout for help also no one help you...

if you want kesas.. go at any weekday nights around 8.30 to 9.00 and there should be plenty of riders around especially on tuesday and wednesday nights...

else, genting sempah is another choice on the weekends as there will be quite a bit of weekend warriors around around the 7.30 to 8.30am period...
4am, got...

the place is called "roller" or "trainer" at the safety of your home... put up some videos of tour de france heading up mont ventoux and you can call it a ride..
*
How about weekdays on genting sempah and other routes? Is it more busy than usual?
