International Medical University (IMU) in conjunction with National Cancer Society Malaysia (NCSM) is organizing a charity event: "IMU Jom Kayuh II: Demi Harapan" on the 23rd June 2013 at Dataran Penggaram, Batu Pahat 7.00 a.m. We will be having 2 activities on the day

1) Charity cycling event @ 7.00a.m

asking for an opinion:

better to save up and buy a complete bike, or buy parts bit by bit?

I will buy a complete bike as I am not too choosy as lilred says "Beggars cannot be choosers" cheaper ma!
Preferably my Groupset will be a Sram Force this round but doubted it to be available complete as there are in neither ends of the spectrum.
Must swap out the OEM wheels with the Aero wheels of Choice (For style sake) ....I own up for F@ks-non performance....i dun remotely qualify to talk it.

or save up money and spend on everything at a go?

dun think of closeout lar... by the time it happens, you will be tempted by the replacement... and then you will think to wait for the closeout sale of that replacement and it will happen over and over and over again... like AFTA...

get the freakin bike and just settle it for once and for all...or you will forever not get it...
Nope! ..... to me, the whole cat and mouse waiting game will be good for me and cycling...ma! ...single minded determination to sacrifice other spendings for the sake of the project, will only heighten it's excitement and resultant appreciation.
Hopefully, at the end of the year, I can nap a mousey size price bike or keep the money for 2014.....or another new beginning of a new wait(not my intention) 
........aren't I just one of the many to fall in to this category of cyclist.

jus saw a dude brought a s2 (suspect the bikehouz clearance ones) to bike shop for assembly and it will be fitted with a pair of zipps..

and the best part of all, the bike is for his teenage daughter...
