Hmm....I'd wait for your review, though I'll be getting Eric's this week.....
*
got your tagging, and lol i'm on eric's gc and vs, reviews posted on his thread. so far so good la.
then after on increased capacity battery, apparently my car electrical system is too stable as mentioned by howiechoo , causing my Philips DRL to blink.

too bad unlike Philips USA, they got free (being posted to users who complain) anti blink module to add on LOL

my reason for not installing lower bars are simple:
i tend to scrape my car over road bumps and the bars would just get damaged laugh.gif

just busted my mid bullet a while ago, however thankfully the folks at UR help me welded it back when i was installing bars at their HQ laugh.gif

No, I don't believe in being stiffest=best in handling. Moreover it's a street car.
*
i fully agree with you and that's what i believe in too smile.gif
(that's also why i insisted to remain coil/struts and not to go for adjustables, not to mention the cost)

atm i run on rear anti roll, front strut and fender bars, with the stock thin/tiny anti roll bar (i believe all cars come with that anyways, especially when my 1999 iswara has it lol)
basically my goal is to draw a good balance between performance (in this case, handling) and comfort and i think after many years, i've drawn that line pretty decently laugh.gif

Many cars today do not have anti roll bar as standard.

from this forum also tongue.gif

the stock ARB is usually joined with our locally coined term "satay bushes" laugh.gif
it's just thin, crooked, and more often than not does almost nothing tongue.gif

Stock ones are usually farkin thin wan.....use bare hands also can bengkok it  laugh.gif
*
yes rofl.
but eh many advised that since i already got on stock, no need to spend money to further stiffen it as the difference won't be as great as the bars i've already got installed.
that, and over stiffening the front would get my car into understeering which under intense cornering (eg: track), not a good thing also lol.

Warning!

Upgraded sway bars will almost always make the car feel better in cornering – turn-in can be improved and the car will feel more settled. But too stiff anti-roll will often make the car slide more easily in wet conditions. So be really careful in your testing, on both dry and wet roads, until you have established with confidence the new handling behaviour.

laugh.gif
yes the butt dyno is strong after installing bars LOL!
shit gets worsened when most of my major testing was straight on the track, with my comfort tires whining the hell out of me sweat.gif

aquaplaning does seemed worsened, but TBH i can't really tell if it's the bars, or its my expiring tires that's just few mm away from TWI especially after bringing them to the track day lol.
still something worth taking note wink.gif

Quazacolt, you go on track too? When's your next round?
*
yes i've been to track twice now. although it's on my slow stock iswara la, first time i was the slowest car for the entire day despite having semi slicks.
2nd time managed to not being the slowest car, still very bad timing though since i was being too noob with the tires.

comfort tires aside, they aren't my main problem. over inflation and the too much heat build up as the track surface was insanely hot. most kaki there reported their tires are further inflated between 3-6psi or more. so you actually have to run on lower air pressure, or run on semi slicks which actually work better under heat/stress laugh.gif
(yes regret selling off my achilles 123 LOL!)

anyways next round is dependent on my ad08r tires (refer my signature laugh.gif ); once they arrive i'll be on the lookout for track events (there's one at pasir gudang at 30th june btw, maybe can fit in that one)

Front antiroll? I think front strut and fender are plenty enough for a FF car, unless you stiffen the hell out of the rear as well  hmm.gif

The general effect of stiffening the chassis is the tires work harder than stock settings. Not only you will need tires with better grip, but better progressiveness as well (so that mid-cornering it doesn't go 100% grip....100% grip....100% grip...100% grip....suddenly 0%grip  laugh.gif )

That's why last time I suggested those who installed the struts bars to dump their rubbish silverstones.
mengsuan now kuat stalking trackies ph34r.gif
*
yes exactly.
and the rear anti roll makes the biggest difference in my car compared to the front strut/fender (i can tell for sure since the front strut aren't directly bolted, and the fender bars are installed at EA autoworks instead of UR HQ)
iswara ab's are prone to fishtailing a LOT so having the rear ARB at while it may not solve it completely, at least i KNOW better when it's about to fishtail and can somewhat react to it before it actually happens instead of LOL FISH TAIL NEXT IS THE DIVIDER IN YOUR FACE

from the top of my head, i think i fish tailed more than 10-20 times throughout the ownership of the car, 2-3+ which i got into accidents with one terrible one at genting.
surprisingly enough, all them accidents never involved 3rd party, it's just me alone, and i always get out of the accident unscathed (including the genting one where the dmg is all the way to the firewall driver side, brake pedals bent etc)

why passenger la, car not fast also. 3 speeder automatic iswara on stock 4g15 engine. max speed is about 170km/h +/- (downhill cheating can go over 180km/h la laugh.gif )

that one i saw... but i dun really know the guy... the one i meant is a FISH with old gen maibee rims... other than that all stock...

btw... the thread of achiles 123 are nice... semi slick right ? if wet then GG adi...
*
oo i dunno then lol

yes achilles 123 is semi slicks.
however the whole wet deal with semi slicks is VERY subjective.

some people no issue, use semi slicks as daily tires.
while newbies like me too scared of it laugh.gif

that said, my achilles 123 semi slick on the track itself during heavy downpour/wet was an AWESOME experience.
sure, it slides/aquaplanes over water puddles, but as soon as the tires leave said water puddles, grip is immediately returned 100%, and on track being a controlled environment, whack it saje LOL!
just the going back journey, stopping before traffic light/ice skating with a few close calls (maybe not really close calls, but when you brake, and the car kept moving creeping towards the car in front of you, that feeling of helplessness, yea that shit is pretty scary to me lol) , was a bit too nerve wrecking for me to handle lol

semi slicks will be good on tracks... but on the road for normal drive... it's not so good... because TOUCH WOOD if u crash ur car when u are using semi slicks, insurance company will not bare anything at all... so you can't claim insurance adi... in the track when u use it they will not be liable for crash or anything as signed...

that would be the least of my concern tongue.gif
