QUOTE(davidke20 @ Jun 12 2013, 11:15 PM) If I floor the car, it will only smoke not drive haha auto with just 60 torque can't smoke anything la but the pickup i am getting is good enough so far. really need to clock my 0-100 someday, benchmark it and see if better traction tires such as the ad08r that i am getting with even lighter rims would make a difference or not. |

QUOTE(mengsuan @ Jun 12 2013, 11:17 PM) david, your video reminds me of my 4G15, it rev up more linearly than campro. Campro seems to high rev sesuka hati, and has some dead spots that is slow to rev, then fast again hell yeah 4g15 revving, i've revved my car constantly 6-7k rpm, and just recently i got it to >8k (meter maxed out) because i mistakenly put neutral while i was flooring the car from traffic light lucky engine tarak blow. but the rocker cover and timing belt leaking |

QUOTE(mengsuan @ Jun 12 2013, 11:22 PM) The engine won't blow, especially in neutral, there's very much less pressure anyway. well the engine is almost always on redline if the traffic permits, so yea wear and tear is definitely much faster for my carIn long run if you over-rev, the piston rings is going to wear off and the engine start sputing white-blue smoke ps: torque mountings (bottom front/back) for my car last only 2-3 months. original from proton somemore. i have to well... improvise :lol (while not going for full racing/solid mountings that are too stiff when your car is on idle/low rpm) |

QUOTE(TitanRev @ Jun 13 2013, 11:52 AM) No, tire shop won't give you sign anything. I have purchase A048, KU36,AD07, R888, Federal 595RSR, Ach 123 they didn't tell me sign anything. These are street legal semis so it can be used on the road. Full slick they only sell if you pay DP and confirm order. I've bought a pair of Hoosier for a friend from a tire shop. Need 50% DP and the shop owner tell this these are race tires not street legal but didn't tell me to sign anything la. I believe people who go for semi slick usually already know about the tire only then buy for the average people tire shop won't even recommend to them. to add in:- semi slicks are NOT ROAD LEGAL - some of the tires you listed are NOT SEMI SLICKS eg: UHP http://www.federaltire.com/en/products_det...cts_detail_sn=5 http://www.kumhousa.com/tire/category/car/...67-2BEA0466BD5C (this is offiically listed as uhp but tirerack has it listed as ehp too) EHP (extreme, basically borderline street tires and semi slicks) http://www.yokohama.com.au/en/Tyres/ADVAN-...-AD08.aspx?pg=2 http://www.tirerack.com/tires/types/extremeperf.jsp - yes malaysian regulations/enforcement is shit. almost 100% you're not required to sign anything for illegal semi slicks, just bring money and take tire, done. |

lol thanks for the TT guys.
sadly for me i have to leave the car at shopping car park cuz ATF leak due to speeding over a speed bump and it scraped the ATF oil sump tomorrow morning have to go back to replace it/stop the leak if possible, else toll car oh well not the first time, and probably wont be the last until i can prevent it... considering to install those under car armor/plastic thingies lol. sure it cost a lot, but i guess it'll save a ton of hassle since i drive like an idiot anyways |

QUOTE(davidke20 @ Jun 15 2013, 08:25 AM) However, when rain time I'll be crying ady coz the engine hot air will fog my windscreen for atleast 15 minutes drive with noisy wiper before the windscreen is hot enough to defog oh rain isnt an issue since i got my windscreens treated/coated well.My original idea was to diffused the whole undercarriage, to expel air from the top instead of bottom. 1 must understand part of the wind drag caused by the rear bumper, because the bumper was kosong from the inside. When your car moving forward, where does the wind ended up when it rear the rear carriage of your car? It will first hit the rear bumper, then only kena channel down. Speaking of protection purpose, seriously it doesn't serve that much. If you choose to buy 1 from bodykit seller, which is made of FIBRE, how do you think FIBRE can protect your undercarriage eh? If you remember seeing cracked bodykit by the roadside, especially besides of speed bumps Unless you use carbon fibre, it can protect your parts/component at the bottom of the car, but the price is going to be crazy. Underpanel is NOT a practical mod for street cars unless you're serious about aerodynamic/wind drag reduction. and im not really into aerodynamics, as you said, it is just an iswara after all. i am however, very keen in NOT getting my oil sumps damaged all the bloody time and have my car stalled at a shopping center car park because all my ATF (which is bloody expensive too mind you) is drained :/ anyways what do you think of this? https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=2673852 seen this in eneos, LOOKS/FEELS sturdy (seems to be made of hard PU/abs synthetic materials) can flex (which can easily absorb impact) and considering the thickness, dont think it'll easily melt from the engine/exhaust heat? |
