QUOTE(Andrewtst @ Jun 20 2013, 04:49 PM) That is stock ROM with some modification on Status Bar, sure can install at locked bootloader. i guess if i wanna flash other roms i gotta unlock then. Actually Locked Bootloader not working for AOKP, AOSP or CM is because of modified/change of kernel not the ROM itself.. Locked Bootloader not support modified kernel, that the reason why leak 4.2.2 stock ROM is not working as well due to doomlord had modified the kernel to make it work for everyone, or else I believe it will only work for developer set only. QUOTE(aqblood @ Jun 20 2013, 04:50 PM) hey just checked again.. in the zip its 2mb |

QUOTE(ChuanHong @ Jun 21 2013, 08:05 AM) right.. previous is much easier.. same as gingerbread style.. ICS is same as 4.2.2.. no SS option in power menu.. need combination of that 2 keys to work out.. OTA cant get it from my XZL.. but PC companion and SUS can get.. im using SUS.. coz i can make my own FTF after that.. QUOTE(ChuanHong @ Jun 21 2013, 08:37 AM) SUS is Sony Update Service. for your point 1.temporary based on 1st preview. 1. Transparent trio virtual button and status bar. Widgets on lockscreen. 2. New added. myXperia, PSP DUALSHOCK (Xperia), Daydream, Quicksetting option (Display), Increasing ringing (Sounds), Camera photo preview after capture, magnification gestures (accessibility) 3. Performance does really see significant smooth in app drawer and UI. 4. Superior auto did really improve. Faster focus in my case.. (Need to TEST out soon) 5. Battery life (will tested out few days) Overall, a good move from SONY. just surpised that ZL get it 1st.. yesterday still wonder when can my XZL get 4.2.2 like XZ leaks rom.. LOL.. is it fully or semi? and toggles are following the standard 4.2.2? hmm, maybe XZ got some other optimizations to do first before rolling out? anyway waiting for the 4.2.2! at least i get to have back the lockscreen widgets now.. got too used to it in my s2 |

QUOTE(ChuanHong @ Jun 21 2013, 08:50 AM) 80% transparent in homescreen.. 100% alike with app drawer. for my 20 minutes playing.. feel slightly smooth than previous firmware.. i like the toggles parts.. which i can set auto rotate, auto sync, Stamina directly.. means you can choose whichever toggles you want? no more official update news for XZ. temporary for XZL. but i think soon. |

QUOTE(aqblood @ Jun 21 2013, 09:02 AM) according to ChuanHong.. can at least no longer need custom ROM for this. hopefully sony understands what most android users want so it'll make us have no reason to use custom rom. This post has been edited by mafioso: Jun 21 2013, 09:08 AM |

QUOTE(eddmecha @ Jun 21 2013, 12:19 PM) Yes u will lost root...AfAiK only samsung have the ability to preserve root by flashing the rom using mobile odin pro... QUOTE(Racerx @ Jun 21 2013, 12:37 PM) You will lose root, unless you update using OTA . DooMLord has already released a new toolkit to root the 4.2 update so you don't have to worry. ahhh alright... means gotta wipe again BTW,just updated my XZL to 4.2. It is definitely smoother than before. The multitasking UI is also quite nice. A shame though that the quick settings panel is still styled after the one in 4.1 and not like the one in AOSP 4.2. okay just wiped ytd due to NFC issues.. |

QUOTE(Andrewtst @ Jun 22 2013, 01:10 AM) I think you install too many craps inside! i can tell you i dont install stuff i dont use.300 apps? That is insane, some more you said never play games................ and i dont have games. i am not a first time android user. i know how it works.. but i am a first time sony user so i dont dare to mess with the system that much for now.. thats why i kept asking about sony's android version related questions.. im using .253 stock rooted. and it has 308 apps for now. my app drawer has only 3 pages with a 5x6 grid. 30 + 30 + 15 = about 75 apps installed only. (some are even from sony itself.. albums, movies, etc) have a look for yourself.. installed "cache cleaner" to scan.. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by mafioso: Jun 22 2013, 01:24 AM |
