which root exploit?

im currently searching/reading high and low on XDA threads now..

is it doomlord's? i thought thats only for .307?

thats the one im reading.. haha.

but make87's post stated that he wasted time downgrading then upgrade to .253 again..

since im currently on .253 i thought there's a new exploit... since make87 posted got new exploit

just a quick question.
if i were to flash an unbranded LTE firmware from another country (for example, singapore's .434)

will the baseband be changed?

cuz it happens on samsung where different roms have different baseband.

which means i would have to flash to .307 with flashtool? my phone is currently not rooted though.. so not sure if the guide is relevant.

currently on .253. lolz didnt know this firmware cant be rooted. gatal gatal just upgrade on the first day.

anyway, according to the xda link above.. the 2nd requirement is that i need to have a custom CWM installed.
which means i need to have root access before i get to flash this stock rom from [NUT] ?

hi! already rooted and upgraded back to .253

flashed docomo status bar as well

now my status bar feels much more convenient..

okay will format when its still fresh now.
factory reset as in wipe data in recovery? or wipe internal as well?

hmm i dont know, maybe cuz im still new to xperia z. so i just stick to .253. hahaha

just rooted last night only thing i flashed was the docomo status bar.

ohyea andrew, i backed up my TA partition on .434
if i were to restore back to stock. do i have to flash back a .434 firmware? or i can basically flash any version as long as its stock?

but is the TA partition dependent on the firmware version?
if it is then i will make a backup on the firmware im using before i unlock.

cuz i made one anyway just in case.. hah

still very new to this phone.. so rather play it safe than regret for the next 2-3 years of using

back with samsung, can just root without worrying about bootloaders, TA ptt.,
if need to send back for warranty just flash stock rom then wipe flash counter -> done

sony is a little trickier, i can see. haha

so far only android phones i bought were samsung and sony..

so it felt complicated to me at first but now since i've rooted things are easier haha

i see.. nowonder my friend dont wanna root his htc phone since the beginning.

1. now im currently rooted and im considering to unlock my bootloader

2. once i've unlocked.. and IF i were to flash a custom STOCK rom. will i lose the bravia engine feature for the camera?

i know flashing AOSP or AOKP/CM/PA roms, it will be something totally different but what if i were to stick to custom STOCK rom?

this rom.. seems to be able to install on LockedBL as well.

but the changelog dont seem that interesting, most of the stuff i installed on my own already.. xposed framework, etc.

BTW, TA partition backup is only about 150kb right? or less..
