when i was studying marketing 3 years ago, i remember there was a marketing strategy for a company to spammed the market with a lot of products of their own, the purpose was that consumer will end up still buying their product rather opt for the competitor's products. so basically the ideas is that it is better to compete with your own product rather than the competitors.

n sometimes low end phones dont need to sell, more or less its like platform sharing thingy production cost is so low.
Just enough to gain some market shares will do.
