Hi everyone. Just completed my Haswell build. Need help regarding stress testing. How much should I set memory block size in aida to stress RAM and CPU? And when running prime95, should I set the min FFT 128k or just left it to 8k? From the previous post by stasio, small FFT is hotter...
Solved. LinX 0.6.5 runs fine This post has been edited by ZaiNor-DI255: Sep 6 2013, 08:27 PM |

QUOTE(owikh84 @ Sep 21 2013, 09:42 AM) Good overclockings there. You might just proceed with 4.5GHz for 24/7 the temps should be fine for normal routine works. Thanks!!! My Prodigy too crowded liao with all my HDD. Also, no money after upgrade from ivy... Thinking of saving money for next year/2year for Haswell-E water cooling project With better cooler I believe your chip can go higher. Invest on custom watercooling perhaps? Already changed back to 4.5GHz for 24/7 used. Now, need to find some time to OC the RAM that I bought from @stasio!!! Hehe |

QUOTE(owikh84 @ Sep 21 2013, 02:02 PM) Yup. But does it really require that high of voltage? According to stasio's sell thread it can do 2933 12-15-15-38-CR1 @ 1.70V and the timing can even be lower... QUOTE(stasio @ Aug 28 2013, 06:19 PM) Team Xtreem DDR3 2600C10......DDR3-2933,12-15-15-38-CR1 @ 1.70V.... Hello everyone. Need help overclocking my 4770k on Z97 Maximus VII Hero... My specs are as my signature.
I have overclocked my 4770k to 4.0GHz for initial testing. However, once im inside windows, the max clock im getting from CPU-Z is only 3.5GHz. But the multiplier section is showing from (8 - 40). Even running AIDA64, it is still maxing at 3.5GHz instead of 4.0GHz under full load. I have turned off most of the energy saving features (that i can think off) but still no luck. I have tried following OC guide but still no luck too... When I set the boot performance mode to max turbo performance, the bios did show 4.0GHz max clock. But once inside windows still the same. I have Asus AI suite installed and tried the auto OC option. It OCed to 4.2GHz. But still maxing at 3.5GHz under full load/stress test. Need advise on which BIOS options is the culprit locking the max clock. Or is it possible that my OS is locking the max clock? I want to avoid reformatting my OS if possible. I will try it as last resort... PS: Here is my bios and cpu-z screenshot (http://imgur.com/a/T9bQy) |
