Don't feel sad, Samsung always win.
It's their retailer who lose.
The price cut doesn't affect it's profit. The S4 snapdragon 32Gb LTE production cost is merely about RM760.00 ($237). Let's say Samsung decides to make 100% profit, RM760 x 2 = RM1520.00. The price cut only affect their dealers' earning.
Smartphone business is a very very lucrative business. We consumer lose too. Extremely overprice!

I believe what joytest meant is Samsung will lose their market share, not so much profit margin. Of course losing market share will mean lesser revenue which will then cut into their profits. The price cut doesn't affect it's profit. Pricing is pretty much dependent on demands. So, it is not quite right to say we, as consumers lose. As consumers we have choices. If we feel a particular device is overpriced, go for the next best alternative. And for that simple reason, we see so many variants even from just a single manufacturer.
