same thing. just some ppl call differently.
However, in Malaysia :
flat = cheap
apartment = decent
condominium = expensive
apartment sounds more expensive than flat.
But they are actually the same.
How to differentiate apartment and flat?

QUOTE(soules83 @ May 30 2013, 03:00 PM) wait...then how to differentie condo from apartment!!!??? I can even saw one agent promoting an apartment as condo!?? ^^ lol !!! must be drunk. On paper : Flat and apartment is literally the same. Condo is a step above. Apartment sounds more luxurious than flat. But they mean the same thing, different words. In Malaysia : Flat is considered low cost building and is very cheap. Do not have security, is neither gated nor guarded and public can just walk in & out of premise. Mostly rundown and not maintained well. Shitty place. Apartment is slightly better than flat, is more expensive and have security. Premise is guarded but may not be gated. Some may even have facilities, not all. Condo is just as the condo we know. Mid - high end, have security, gated, guarded, swimming pool, etc, is is much more expensive than the other 2. Also have better maintanence, etc. |
