My friend's HTCO kena hard brick while he tried restoring to stock rom through RUU. The process halted midway and the phone cannot reboot back except always to fastbootmode mode only. I tried to fix it back for him and was unable to do it too. Phone is seriously dead
HTC ( Times Square) said he need to change the motherboard and they are unable to flash it back for him. It will cost him inclusive labour about RM700 and he needs to wait probably up to 3 weeks !!!
If he could wait another week, probably I could get it done at HTC Spore ( maybe for a small fee). About 4 years back, I did a rom reflash once for a hardbrick HTC previously for free at HTC Spore.

He did that but he still see the word "Tampered" in fastbootmode
Actually I told him it does not help too as the phone will still show relocked even if he could have the word Tampered gone
He doesn't mind it as he wishes to sell it off for the 64GB version and he does not want the next buyer to see the word Tampered

It is resistant to common stuffs you have eg coins, keys, blade, scissors except sand particles
I even demo dragging blade, scissors across display to sceptics. You can also find plenty such demo on youtube
It is definitely not scratch proof but is resistant to most day to day metals

I have physically tested dragging a blade across the display and keys scratching the display . I dare not test the casing as I have no confidence the metallic finishing can take the "torture". I dont know how you can get it scratch with even keys !! . I do these tests on all my phones/tablets that has gorilla glass and I have yet to experienced even a hairline scratch on them
